The Firestick Lite sounds like a bargain to me, especially if it has the same performance as the 4k version. It would be an ideal streaming device if you don't much care for 4k content and Dolby atmos. I take it this is considerably faster than the last Firestick, I found that painfully slow to use?

No. Netflix is never free, as the previous comment stated. Amazon Prime Video comes included with a paid Amazon Prime subscription, so you can technically use that streaming service for "free". It is not equivalent to Netflix. It has different content and features/interface. You cannot use the Alexa app to control the stick. You need to use a separate app called "Fire TV" to control the stick, which can be found free on Android and iOS. The app cannot control TV volume or channels. If you have a smart TV with HDMI-CEC, you can control the fire tv stick with your TV remote. You just need to enable the feature on your smart TV and have it detect the fire tv.
Someone needs to check the ‘lite’ model to confirm Atmos doesn’t work, if they share the same model number they’re the same stick with the same hardware. The only difference should be the remote which Amazon have always charged a lot for

Ordered the lite version last night from Amazon, currently £17.99! Going to give my 3 or 4 year old one to my father in law.
I like the lite version because it does not have much difference with the other versions and comes with an affordable price point.
I think both are good but definitely the lite version is cheaper plus with the same mediatek chip and not any major differences
