Thanks Malcolm! Was actually ideal, we sat in bed with just enough reception to watch a few UA-cam episodes and listened to the rain as we fell asleep. After so long staring at our van in lockdown, it was just amazing to get away (and Ember and Fenix had a ball)!
Any tips for the towing mirrors that you have fitted to your Prado? Any good? Happy? I’m after a reliable set that are easy to fit/remove and that don’t mark the mirror. Cheers mate, good video by the way.
Thanks mate! Mirrors are OK, but not the best, we got them for the fortuner with the aim of upgrading to MSA mirrors in the future, but looking at better clip ons now, Milenco aero 4s are what we are currently considering (Big Oz use them on their patrol)
Hi mate, been following you for a while now. I know you did a video with the different weights of the car, van and combined.. with this set up you've got now (with the gvm upgrade) are you not over your GCM and is there not too much stress on the engine? Looking for a similar set up when traveling OZ. With a 2021 Prado( without the GVM upgrade) and a 2800kg van behind it, what I read is that there is just too much stress on the Prado with that much weight behind it. Love to hear your opinion! Cheers mate!🤙
He mate, thanks for following us! First trip away and the prado towed like a champion! Main consideration is gear control, but the new engine rocked it... 500nm of torque pulled the van no issue (some steep roads both sealed and dirt on the weekend and all good). I'll be aiming for a full weights and balance video with a mobile weighing expert soon too.
“We’re going camping with wine and pringles” #simplelife, love it can’t wait to do the same :-)

our theory is that there are no such thing as calories when camping, so double up the cheese & enjoy.
You, sir, are 100% correct 😀
