- This is a spontaneous video to share with you that I have recently made big decisions and changes in my personal life in order to evolve, grow and live my best life. This implied to find one specific thing in particular and to decide to deserve more of it on a daily basis... Dear Clementine, I know that 8 months have passed since this video came out but I hope that there have more positivity in your life since then. I saw you and Visions of Atlantis for the first time at First Ave here in Minneapolis with Dragonforce, Firewind, and Seven Spires. I never even heard of you guys before and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. As a guitarist and metal head, going to concerts have been a big happy place in my life. All of you did a fantastic job and I was so happy when your guitarist gave me his guitar pick. I really wish I could’ve stuck around and talk to all of you but I couldn’t lol. I first heard your angelic voice on Serenity's War of ages, and I was lucky enough to see you with VOA at Metaldays in Slovenia in 2017 - I can't remember whether the EPIC thunder storm delayed your set, or the one after, but regardless, your set was awesome! The weather would have suited "Master the Hurricane"... 😃
I am so glad for you that you've found your happy place - the passion and articulate way you speak about it makes it such a wonderful thing to see.
Please never change your fundamental sincerity, it's such a rarity these days, and the world could do with a lot more of it!
If VOA are ever near Wales, I will definitely be there!

Clementine, I’ve been a fan of your music since I first heard you in Serenity. Your music is incredible. I really enjoyed this video. I hope it really inspires a lot of young people. Many don’t realize how short life is, and you need to embrace every minute of it. Fine your special place, what brings you joy and happiness and go for it. Life is going to be full of ups and downs. Sometimes it’ll kick you in the teeth and the next minute it will lift you up. Main thing, dust yourself off and get back in the game. I served in the military over 20 years and saw the good and bad side of this world. Its hard sometimes to grasp what evil bad people can do to others. But there are good people out there too trying to do the right thing . There is a lot of good out there , you just got to find it . Part of what makes me feel good is trying to help other people. I try my best everyday to make a difference .
Another big part of my good place, is music. It has always uplifted me even in the worse of times. (And Clementine all your work and especially with VOA has lifted me up many times. You have such an incredible, moving, beautiful voice). But listening to great bands like VOA, or watching a live concert or playing in band brings me a lot of joy. (I’ve played drums since I was six so playing and making music definitely gets me in my happy place).
I lived 17 years in Europe (I was stationed there many times ). I absolutely loved it. I love the history and the people. (I’m big history buff). I loved Holland, France and Germany. My dream is to go back. I only visited Northern Italy so I’m definitely going back to see the rest of Italy and then hop over to Greece which Ive never been to at all. (Maybe catch some outdoor European Metal Fests, damn do I miss those!🤘)
I tell the next generations Keep the toxic people out of your life who are only going bring you down. Instead, appreciate and love the good people/friends in your life. Always treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Last, try to help others whenever you can, there’s no better feeling than knowing you made a difference in someone’s life. Live your life by those rules, and you’ll have a much happier life, I promise.
(I can’t wait till September when I get to see Clementine and the band in Denver live for the first time. My 10 year old daughter is way excited too.)🤘😎

I'm sorry I'm late to this news and discovering VOA, but I think it's wonderful that you have chased your happiness. It's been many months now since you announced this, so I hope that this transition has gone well for you and the band. I have to admit that the beginning of this video scared me that you were making some more drastic change, but I was happy to hear of its message and your joy in following it. I’m a year later to this vídeo. But i resonate with it. I left my country 5 years ago in search of a better life, the first 2 years i lived in Colombia and in 2020 (just before the lock out) i moved to Spain (what a year to start from 0 again in another country 😅) I haven’t seen my family since i left and sometimes i feel so guilty to have this oportunity of a better life and they struggle so much over there. ❤ change can be scary and to build a life in a different country can be hard but i feel is totally worth it (that’s why i told you guys in the m&g of Madrid that i don’t have any friends here 🥲 that part so far is the hardest for me!!)
We have to think about ourselves first and follow what we really want to do ❤

I first heard of you when i watched the Kai Hensen video where you sang the song "Save us" with his band. One of the most kick ass songs i have heard recently. I was 100 % taken by your performance. I had an immediate crush on you as well. Truthfully still do. You are one of the best artist i have seen recently and i have been listening to both Visions of Atlantis and Exit Eden since.

Wow, I'm so glad I recently 'discovered' your band Visions of Atlantis. Immediately got interested who's that tall, thin, extremely gracious and beautiful creature with long neck, hands, everything - beautiful! Of course you're French, couldn't be otherwise, with a rare and pretty name Clementine, as if you came from the times of your stage characters.
Anyway, glad you moved to Italy, climate is better there, and your newest 'pirate' themed album is amazing!

I am so glad you found that happy place that makes you truly love life, which shows in the music, which feeds itself into a most wonderful cycle of revolution(s) in your life. I know the joy of creation while writing music and continue to do so, and when I'm not around it, I feel (as you did) there was something terrible missing. The thing that keeps me from finding the joy is the fear it will not be the final spot on the journey. Maybe its like going into the pool - the water is cold and you tenaciously go slow and try to acclimate to it. Then life gets in the way, you lose focus and the "mundane" of everyday (whether it be work or whatever) dulls your senses and next thing you know a great amount of time has gone by until you find something that says "hey! Remember me?"
Right now I am in a band that is a (in a sense) one of those 6 degrees of separation type of events, from my favorite bands growing up and favorite movie , then one phone call and somehow all of those "favorite" things just kind of all merged in life without any planning or anything. Then covid, then this, then life and it seems we're kind of back to where we started and I let life interrupt the joy again :( Don't want to go to far into specifics since this is about you, even though you asked for stories
I hope that you can keep the fires fanned and not let the world take the wind from your sails! Hope to see you in Atlanta this year on the tour!

"What prevents me to follow my dreams": That is quite interesting, because, I have epilepsy and last wednesday, I had a seizure, a thing that didn't happen to me on a long time, and this while I was sleeping, and this is important because, I was never able to work, because of epilepsy causing me a lot of dizziness on hard work, so the only thing I could do, was doing a more easy work on my Pc, learning how to make my own video games, and editing 3d models and textures, I falled in love with this, and I wished that someday I could work with it, but having a seizure on my own home, without doing any hard work, a thing that never happened before, made me feel like giving up, I mean, why to waste my time learning something that I will never be able to use? So why to try to illude myself with a false dream? Then, I remembered a song that I listened a few years ago, and spent my whole day just listening to it, to calm my brain and organize my toughts, and you know what? I've finally realized something, that this is my body, I command this piece of meat, not the opposite, I will do whatever I want, even if my body doesn't want me to do it, I feel happy doing this, and I've learned a lot about it without the help of others, I've created amazing things by myself, so if I want to learn more, to do more, this will not hold me back anymore, this is my life, or as you said, this is my happy place, and this is what I want to do and no one will tell me that I'm wrong or to simply forget it, not a person, not even my own body, I have dreams, they sure may sound futile to many people, but they are what I want to do, what I know to do, what I love to do

There are so many things keeping me away from gaining more joy every day. The work to have an outcome, inner demons stil to fight and a person to take care of. But finally all is just a matter of your point of view: Any burden can also be a jar full of joy. So if you cannot change things and circumstances, at least you can change your feelings towards them.

And I totally understand you about the fact that most of the time we suffer from looking at things through the negative perspective, but it's not the only one... it does require effort and force of will to find another way of looking at things but I am confident that we all can do it! I know it seems cliche to say, but it’s finances and obligations that seem to stop me from being joyful. I have to work two jobs that I don’t like to barely take care of myself and my disabled mother. I don’t regret it in the sense that I’m glad I can make sure mom is provided for. But at the same time I feel trapped and exhausted in a loop that I can’t get out of, because if I do my situation will get worse rather than me finding joy. I hope to find a way.
I am always amazed at what a positive person you are! Make yourself at home in Udine and enjoy your own personal happy place! Btw: Cool hairstyle :)

We moved from the Capital to a country village near a big lake...we found our new life at countryside. Everyone are argued what will do you there, but we found ourselves here, and the 3 child is also enjoying not living in a crowded city...
