Leaving plastics on the interior is one of the reasons why we can purchase JDM cars that are way over a decade old in like new condition. Its the Japanese culture itself that makes their used car market one of the best in the world. They not only take great care of their property but there is a certain level of respect as well. Ive always been intrigued by this.
The 3.0 diesel rules the world, 500k miles/800k kms is very common with these in Ireland. Chassis corrosion is a concern with these though, all the other Japanese 4x4s are no where near as popular or durable.
Thanks for all the great content guys! Its so interesting to see and learn about all the cool and strange cars you have there especially with all the background infos you tell about every car! Keep up the good work.
I just bought the exact same Prado like yours, a 2005 Japanese import but mine has the built in dash display with integrated air conditioning control (all in japanese ofc). It also has a minidisc/cd/radio player unit below the centre console.Do you you think I can replace the display with aftermarket unit as I don’t understand Japanese and also the gps doesn’t work?
My dad has the same car with almost a million kilometers on the wheels. A very reliable machine indeed. Why it has the previous 3.4l v6? our has a 4.0l v6.
Lexus GX also had the 4.7 V8 and I don;t think it had height control that 4 cam 3.4 was a great old engine but not powerful enough for North America in this size SUV
In Europe, the Prado is sold instead of the regular Land Cruiser with the same name, so sometimes it's not about not being able to afford it, but not having any other options.

one of my favorite vehicle from japan ..

I guess Toyota decided to keep using it. Here in America when this generation came out it was only available with 4.0 V6.
Makoto Shishio I feel that 3.4l v6 was much reliable than the 4.0 V6 but it made only 160hp. The current 4.0 makes 230ish HP. Not bad.
Makoto Shishio True that, I expect a turbocharged four cylinder in the next gen Prado's. Fuel is getting expensive and these are petrol guzzlers man.
Makoto Shishio True that! Man those 3rzfe engines sound sweet!
Did he say Tongo?
rynsvids yep lol
It's near Fiji in the Pacific.
Acc0rd79 that's Tonga
@@Acc0rd79 I’m from Fiji
In today’s car walk around we include lots of mouth noises ! :D
I've been practicing.
Sir what all I need to check before buying land cruicer prado .. 2005 model. Ktz95
Can this be imported to Canada? And how much?
Wouldn't it be cheaper to import an LC from AUS or NZ to Tonga?? Might be wrong
Actually I think these were sold in Tonga so the seller must want a JDM spec Cruiser.
We have one in black. It’s incredible
The full sized Land Cruiser isn't sold in Europe anymore, so this is the one we get instead. Definitely not as luxurious, but I like the looks of it
Strange to see a 2005 with the 3.4 V6!
I know right! Those 3.4L V6 160 hp were built like a tank! It's underpowered compared with 4.0's 230 HP
Didn't most of these come with 4.0's or no?
If the inspector had actually found that money, would that bump up the interior grade to B? xD
My fav gen of Parado
How much does it cost to send Nepal
How mash ???

I think the next gen J150 Prados / GXs look way cooler

Hi! Did you export any car for Australia?
Im from Argentina, those Land Cruisers are a bit rare here, the 0km are expensive
This SUV is known in North America as the Lexus GX, first generation.

@@trebors386 this was one of the base engines
Top of the line had a 260hp 4.0 V6 which is what 4runners and fj cruisers still use to this day
Everyone who owns (or used to own) one of these in a developing country is filthy rich.
there is still the regular land cruiser after this hahaha
is this car sold?
vishoda kalhara Duh.
unless otherwise stated, all of these cars have already been bought by a customer. derek's just creating a video out of sheer pleasure.

Tonga is in the Pacific actually.
Oh... right.
The prado is for people who cant afford the land cruiser ;D
as great as regular land cruisers are, they are just so unnecessary in so many situations
Rotating Cupboard The Prado is smaller and much easier to drive than a Land Cruiser and it shares most of its off-road capabilities.
Prado is for people that don't want to drive a house around
😂😂😂facts
