- After taking a break.. (literally) it is time to head back to the Colorado series and start pumping out some videos from our adventures. This was our last day at Taylor Park and I was still in awe of what I was experiencing.
We start this episode out at a beautiful mountain lake, and after grabbing a bite to eat we come across some broken down Honda riders.. We gave them some advice and started our journey up the mountain!
These technical rocky climbs are my favorite of all, and I smile from ear to ear lugging the KTM 250XCW up some of the most beautiful trails I have ever experienced..
Ride along with us and enjoy the views!
#Colorado #KTM #SingleTrack
This is one of my favorite channels
Thank you Jesse!🙏🏻
That was Timberline trail starting at Texas Lakes heading towards Tincup. The road you crossed connects Taylor Park to Buena Vista (Cottonwood Pass) My 14 year old daughter and I rode that July of 2020
Looks like Timberline Trail (and crossing the main paved road near Cottonwood pass). Fun stuff! Taylor park has some amazing riding!
The voice over really helps make these ride vids very enjoyable.
Agreed
Awesome to hear! I will keep trying to improve the format.
8:08 I agree.. The helmet cam tells the story for sure.
I have ridden and raced in California, Nevada, Montana, South Dakota, Arizona, Iowa, Minnesota,Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois, Georgia, and Taylor park is my favorite of all time
Arizona is my state and it's great 2 track some k early stuff in Bradshaw's it has some good single track but taylor park is the best place EVER
That is awesome to hear! I would like to ride in every state at some point but glad to hear I have already done the best!!
Love these rocks!!! I’d be in heaven here! Beautiful scenery
They are a blast to ride! Definitely Heaven on Earth..
Looks so awesome! Been around Taylor but never to it. Bucket list for sure!
I like the length of the video, the voice over and the non intrusive music. Thanks for the great vids and best wishes for speedy recovery.
Much appreciated!
I wasn’t sure how the voice over with music was going to be at the start of the video. I usually love to hear the two stroke sound on videos. But I think you had perfect balance of all of it. perfect amount of talking, music was low enough, and able to hear the bike also. 👍🏼
Hope for a speedy recovery.
Awesome feedback! That is great to hear, thanks for the support🙏🏻
Can’t wait to see you back at Wayne. Hope you’re getting stronger each day. You’re our Ohio hero.
Thank you man! I appreciate you, doing well so far👊🏻
Counter balanced is what put me on a KTM and put me back on two strokes. Absolutely awesome difference!
Another epic video..I hope you are healing well...w
Thank you my friend! Getting better every week.
I'd watch longer trail rides if you put them out. Awesome to see all the beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work and hopefully heal up quick!
Thank you Guy! I appreciate it👊🏻
Been following you for a few years, I ride an modified 2014 KTM 300 xc , Riding more gnarr than XC( xc-w stuff). We have a group heading to CO in a couple weeks, based on what you rode I recommended we all hit Taylor Park. We Ride Central Texas gnarly routes, typically ride Hidden Falls, CTOR, Emma Long, Barnwell Mtn. Figure the hardest thing for us is elevation/oxygen for our endurance vs capability to hit the gnarr. We're all on 300 "KTM"'s some are orange, some white and some red, but all basics the same; gummy tires, geared for gnarr. Looking forward to it at 49 yrs old to show those kids (30-40r yrs old ) how its done! Any time you come to Central TX hit me up!!
Great video, I really want to get a bike and start riding 👍👍
Hey Tanner, my phone has been really fucked up the past few months and I finally got a new one!!! Anyway I wish the best for you and hope you recover with flying colors. We should really ride sometime, have a good one! 😁
Another great video ! Trails looked awesome
That was a great video thank you.
Like the narration. Good format.
Much appreciated! Thanks for the feedback.
Just got my first bike! I live in Buena Vista about an hour drive from here can't wait! Going there this weekend.
Man- I was hoping my favorite place on this earth would stay secret forever and never show up on UA-cam.. but at least you seem to do it justice. Beautiful
That seems to be the general consensus from the locals haha, I don't mean to spoil a spot but I would say 99% of people watching probably won't make the journey as there is a lot of planning and preparation and money involved. Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed it right mixed it all together well
Glad to hear! Thank you Justin.
I like this format.
Thank you! Good to hear.
Love the narration!
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback.
Nice vid, enjoyed the narrative and agree about the stabilized type of camera's. You were on Timberline Trail from Texas Lakes south to Mirror Lake (Tincup) the major road you passed was Cottonwood Pass road that was just paved last year, bummer. Hope you got to ride the Northern section of Timberline, that's even more fun. Go to the west, Cement Creek area for more single-track fun. For the life of me I just can't understand when people have problems with their bikes that they just have to stay in the middle of the trail to work on them, drives me nuts!! 40 years ago this use to be one of my States best kept secrets, not anymore, and I sure do miss those days.
If you love Colorado riding that much, you need to follow this guy:
ua-cam.com/users/highlandcycles
He owns a bike shop in Colorado and rides multiple times week.
Awesome video I enjoyed the content! The format was awesome
This guy deserves more
Thank you William! We will get there.
The trails in colorado look sick
Bucket list for sure!
Attention Deficit 100% I’m still learning how to ride but when I get something bigger than my 4t 125 I’m going
That’s some of the prettiest riding a person can enjoy right there. I could suffer through that at least twice a week 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It looks amazing 💪😎
Great video. Actually, out of all the POV footage I've seen of single track riding yours definitely captures more of the reality of tough riding than some others. The intensity comes through. Nice job!
Glad you enjoyed it Jay! Appreciate that, it isn't always as easy as it looks on camera haha
Qué buen video y qué buenas tomas.
Felicitaciones
Gracias!
You where right that is one beautiful place to ride. great voice over white you where riding. could have watched a longer video.
Thank you for the feedback! The views here are incredible.
I like this style pretty well, and it's obviously easier for you to say what you want to say when you're editing it vs when you're riding and trying to concentrate so I'm cool with this style. Also I really do like that you don't use the stabilized camera because it just seems to make it more exciting with a little bit of shaking around. Take it easy man!
Good to know! Thank you Caden👊🏻
First haha great video looks sick
Legend! Thank you Matthew!
I really like this Channel and its interesting to see the American trail riding Style in germany we mostly ride hard enduro👍🏾
Format of video good. Length of video good. Like you, I also have attention deficit.
Good to hear! Thanks for the feedback🙏🏻
I know I'm 10 months to late but loving your work Buddy.
Great UA-cam stuff. How do I get a "side" bar" where and how you camped in Taylor Park?
That looks like loads of fun :/ maybe I'll find some time to get my 1997 thundercat going this weekend
It's a blast! Get her going!
longerrrrr plz
Great video. What bikes are you guys rocking?
I go to taylor park Colorado every year for enduro and just all out fun it's an AWSOME place to visit and for the few that see this and ride dirtbikes you should really go and check out taylor park you wont regret it.
That's awesome Albert! This place is unbelievable.. Definitely should be on the bucket list for a lot of people.
Great vid. TP is epic. Been a few years for me so what trial exactly was that one? Maybe Timberline?
Thank you Bob! Love this place.
Things could have been worse. What if your knee broke in Colorado? Don't even want to think about that. Here's to a speedy recovery. Soooo Erzberbrodeo 2022 maybe?
Absolutely! I had thought about that quite a bit, helicopter rides aren't cheap..😳 Sounds like a plan!
What trail is that? Love your videos, sorry about your injury, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Not sure I was just along for the ride, thank you Kevin! I'll be back soon.
Agree with the other comment that voice over makes the vid more interesting. And nice vid overall. Also agree some different angles would be an improvement. It's also good that you often have a rider ahead of you, which makes it more interesting. I would add a little more background about the specific trail you're on, whether it's typical of the trails in the area.
Thanks for the feedback Steve!
Sam is coming down to Tennessee to ride with me in November. I’m gonna take him on a tour of some of our East Tn single track. Crazy. Small world lol...and yep...idc what people say....counterbalanced bikes make a big difference.... love my 2020 300xc tpi. Love it.
Hello been watching your video's for a couple of years heading out to Taylor in late September for first Time. IT is a1600 mile trip would you suggest me taking my toyhauler or renting a cabin. and just driving the truck with small trailer behind ?
Thanks for sharing. I hope GoPro Hypersmooth is in your future ;-)
Have you done a helmet cam setup video previously? Honestly the footage seems to tell the sense speed well. Do you run an ND filter? These CO videos are awesome!
Good wrk mate and yes a 30min video would be cool
Thank you Jade! There will definitely be a few longer videos in the future.
@@AdventureDaily just remember stay safe and watch for drop bears 😂
Nvm looks like you found it! Haha my favorite place in the world.
I think for most videos 10-15 min is the sweet spot. Although, I do enjoy 30 min trail rides like this.
Hey Tanner. Format is good. Way to make mic-less footage work and make a professional video out of it.
Hey, thanks Dork!! I appreciate the input👊🏻
It's not easy when you have equipment issues. I actually forgot you mentioned your mic not working in a previous vid until you said it in this one. That's how well you made it work 😂
I like this style you didn’t speak all the way through gave us info on different parts and the music was nice and low to still hear the bikes 💞 there is nothing worse than the music being too loud through a trip it just takes the reality away from what’s going on 💞 hope your feeling a bit better today 💞
Glad you enjoyed! I agree with the obnoxious music, it's all about balance. I am doing well thank you, getting better every week💪🏻
Attention Deficit that’s great news Tanner your feeling better, just keep going day to day and I bet you have loads of footage you can upload ! 💞
I’m kinda wanting to buy a two stroker. Would you recommend it? Also I really want to start a UA-cam channel but I feel like it would be a complete waste of time. Do you think I should make videos???
It all depends on what type of riding you do! Unless you are racing I recommend any of the KTM / Husky Enduro models like the TE / XCW / XC. As for the UA-cam channel that is totally up to you! If you find enjoyment from it then I would say go for it!
Great video. Nice length. Hard to sit in one spot for a long time. Short attention span. LOL
Glad you enjoyed it!! I agree with that haha.
While the camera underestimates hills, it does exaggerarate the speed !!!Suspension 101 ...You need to set the static sag and race sag , to determine your springs are correct , Usually they are never correct.set your springs before you even attempt to fine tune with the clickers!
That's the plan! Thanks for watching buddy.
What tires were you running?
can you share the location of the trail head?
Gosh I miss living there 😔
A beautiful land for sure!
It’s kinda funny the 2strokes made it and the 4s didn’t..lol..
What trail head did you park at?
You still ride your grom at all?
No, dirt bikes have consumed my life for the past couple years but who knows what next season will bring!
The helmet can seems a bit pixelated?
Yeah you can thank UA-cam's compression for that! They butcher the GoPro footage especially in the woods there is just too much data to process.
Can you get a 35 foot motorhome into the park?
Those rocks kinda scare me. Kinda? Oh heck they do scare me.🤣 It looks steep in the vid. I'm not sure I could watch if it wasn't stable video. The voice over with the bike sound is good to me. My attention span is just about maxed on an 18 minute vid. So my vote is for not making them longer. They are your vids though so do what's best for you. Get well Tanner.
They can bite back pretty easily! It is a fun battle though, glad to hear about the voice over and yes I can understand that haha! Thank you Easy.
I just bought a KTM wcw tpi 300.....
broke my chain for the 4th time this year cause I ride everyday the new one is taking forever. and I am not allowed to ride dads bike.
Sorry to hear that I am sure you will get it soon!
Broken down Honda's? Gotta be fake news
I know right!! Just a carb issue that’s not even factory so you can’t fault the red.
Don’t like the music want to just hear the bike
Good to know!
250l is far superior
i want see you riding stuff like that with the 250L and show us how tough you and the bike are.... KTM vids are so boring... 100000th ktm vids are out there...
That sounds miserable😂 Fun for you guys maybe but that’s honestly just not a good idea, it’s not about the bike at the end of the day it’s about the riding.
@@AdventureDaily that's true for sure yes... Only tell you u are famous for the 250l vids.... That made you big.. Don't forget 😉
Longer vid the better. Excellent footage bro...hope the legs gettin better. Narrating the ride is cool as long as the braps can be heard :)
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you nutty sac the leg is getting better everyday!
@@AdventureDaily lol
I like the unstable footage but i dont like the Go Pro curved lens. Too many people are buying curved lens cameras, it doesn't look normal with all the trees bent, LOL, but for some reason people are using them.
I agree! But I also can't stand the narrow perspective as you can't see sh**.. I like being able to see the handlebars and the world around me, at the end of the day it is a lose lose situations with these action cameras but it is the easiest way to capture the moment.
