I'm from Colorado and have rode this type of terrain my whole life. To me it's all I have known. But when I hear your voice and how you are so excited it reminds me of the times I have taken people just like you that have never experienced the Colorado Rockies and they are just blown away!!!! I'm very impressed about your preparation for the trip and then your ultimate choice in the end of the xcw.... Awesome!!! It just adds to the experience when you are on the right machine. I always thought you couldn't beat the ole thumper Honda XR250's thru the 650's back in the day. I never new what future laid ahead and never would have imagined it would be a 2 stroke leading the way. Have Fun and take care!!!
I know how you are feeling to be so Excited to be riding up there. I live in Idaho and was riding single track ever weekend up in Idaho city tell 3 weeks ago I blew out my knee. The videos are awesome man. I am inspired by your happiness to be ripping the beauty that we get to see every day in the Idaho mountains. I am hoping one day I can do the Idaho Tour. If you get a chance look that up and Idaho city single track. Maybe that is something you mite like in future. Thanks for the videos. Stay safe and keep ripping!!!
awesome video Tanner..if you want more than that take the ride from Telluride colo to Ouray, that one will knock your sox off . we did it riding double on a honda xr 185 ,over 13,000 ft elev..low gear all the way
So glad to see you getting out and experiencing all that mountain single track has to offer you should have been placed riding in the middle of the group since this was your first time in this kind of terrain but you did well you should try a Quick Strap for your goggles it allows you to take them on and off with one hand while still riding as the goggles clip and hang on the side of your helmet.
Just come across your channel, some great coverage, of your bikes and trails. I'm from the UK always been into motocross so find them very interesting. Great work man.
Awesome vid man... I live here in Colorado and am just getting into riding dual-sport (I'll be riding a '21 Beta 500RR-S)... I will def have to check this place out!!!
you have to be above the tree line for carb to really need tuning to the point it will not run decently if you don't. Experienced this in BC. Bikes ran fine. For most of us we really don't need a fancy carb.
"I gotta take a dump". And the moss comes into play. That area around 7:20 lives up to "Rocky Mountains". What elevation were you? and what was the High and low temps? Nice vid my friend.
Taylor Park is around 9000' and you go up from there. Some trails will get up over 13000'. 40's at night ( I've camped there in August and had low 30's) and maybe 80 on a hot day in that area. If it's a rainy day its probably in the 60's.
You can still have a rut in a single track trail and when it goes from muddy to dried up and you hit it wrong can really suck eating dirt. However if you find you are looking really far ahead you can save lots of crashes with throttle and momentum.
710 thumbs up and 9 thumbs down, I just done understand how the 9 will give a thumbs down either they are the most miserable humans in the planet or they are the 9 x- boyfriend that your girlfriend had. lol
Did you just say YOU HAVE TO TAKE A DUMP? Really little man?? Head out west & we’ll get you in the desert & see what you got I’m guessin we will be pullin cactus out of ya first 10 minutes?? Anyway red Ab please leave your body functions out of the videos, please I would appreciate it my girl was eating her dinner & now thinks I watch children between your only skill ridin wheelies & talkin about your functions! I’m sure you want to be a man just dig deep & give it a lot more effort??? Unreal brother you should work harder treating your girl like a Queen & respect her wishes & let her ride the CRF150rb it’s clear as day that’s the bike she likes & wants to ride!!! Man-up cowboy!
@@drewpknutz1410 Riding your bike in a manor so it lasts longer without repairs isn't being dumb. You only need to shift the fastest way is if you are racing (or perhaps thrill seeking). If riding just be cause you enjoy riding there is no need or desire to get fancy.
What beautiful country. Those creek crossings look so fun!

That single track looks like a lot of fun no side by side ruts to worry about
Dude tell me about it. Side by sides and quads literally fuck up everything.
Wow! Beautiful country Tanner. Thank you for letting us come along for the ride!
Enjoy your riding.thanks for all your vids ☺
Working my way up to a new bike, can’t wait until I’ll be able to do something like that!!!
What a view and wow! That is awesome. 👍🏼👍🏼
Place is beautiful I love these trails every time I go to woodland park or 717 it never gets old
Watched several of you vids....all good job....love to see somebody who really appreciates those amazing trails. Keep them coming!
Thank you!
The sheer joy in your voice is inspiring. Greatly anticipating the upcoming footage.
OMG was that beautiful out there. I can't wait to see more! Thanks for doing this trip, so far it's amazing to see.
With that lectron I have never heard a 2 stroke sound that clean throughout the whole gear great stuff!
You maintain a decent pace for new terrain and 1st time on the trail. Good quality videos, keep em coming.
Super jealous! Absolutely beautiful out there. 🤘
Seeing tanner live his best life yes bro looks nice big up yaself🏴🏴🏴💯❤️
The KTM sounds so good. Cant wait to see more footage. I'd love to see 30 minutes plus with this kind of country to see.
That Lectron really helps with that. Crazy the difference in sound and response my bike has after I put one on.
Your bike was running sooo good! The sound of it is awesome!!
Great video man definitely worth the wait
That’s a hallelujah good time right there!
Just awesome watching you have so much fun. Freaking awesome countryside too.
I love the excitment in your voice. It's easy to tell your pumped.👍
This trip was a dream come true!
I'm excited for you. That rock garden bruh...
Gorgeous land.
Thank you!

I hope you enjoyed that moss!
It was probably extra moist, like a natural scrubbing bidet or something.

Live in colorado. Me and my 12 year old do trails like this all the time. He chases me on a trail built kx85. I love Colorado...
That's awesome!! Happy riding.
Prius pulling a trailer. Hell yea!

Great work man.
Awesome, thank you!
Love the enthusiasm. I ride a 250L, but not like that. Great videos.
Good video! You'll never want to ride the dorr run loop again. Lol. Leaving there to come back to Ohio is so depressing.
You got that right!
I remember my first time...............congrats man!
Great video man.
Well done for riding at your own pace in the new environment.
#knowyourlimits
Absolutely! Thank you for watching.
Come up to BC bro, we've got some beauty trails and views. Thanks for the vids!
Love your vids keep it up
Nice vid mate stunning backdrop so different to Australia I thought you rode well 💪
Glad you enjoyed!

Yh waking up like that is a vibe bro
You would really like Farmingdale SD you want to talk about dirt bike heaven
Congrats on the 50K!
Thank you Bill!🙏🏻 We really appreciate your long term support, glad to have you on the journey.
Man these trails look nice not too rocky im super use to extremely muddy and like boulders so this would be a nice change looked like a super fun ride
Love it! I wanna go some day
Do it! You won't regret it.
Definitely jealous. If you like the rocky stuff come ride the anthracite and Coal mines up in the mountains of PA sometime.
Rorr locust gap is great for some gnarly single track.
@@HardEnduroLlewellyn fro locust gap is mostly where I ride
Taylor W. Sweet. I go every Sunday, except today. Just got back from Hatfield & McCoy. There’s some good stuff behind Gap racing as well.
@@HardEnduroLlewellyn unfortunately I only get out once or twice a month but I'll have to check that out.
Awesome vid mate, can I ask what are you filming with? And do you have stabilisation on?
There is actually a fair amount of decent mountain biking in Ohio.
And I want to ride my dirt bike on them! (I wouldn't to be clear, but how cool would that be)
KMC yeah I’ve always kind of wanted to as well, but also wouldn’t of course.

@@brianh8484 Sounds like 4 seasons in 1 day. Cold, nice, hot, nice, and then cold again.
NIce looks like you had good dirt!!
Perfect conditions!
Love the outro
Love the vids
Rosebud is my favorite trail there
Liked because of the random "I gotta take a dump" hahaha
Would have been nice if you got some Bigfoot footage! 😆
Do you think u will ever change up bikes in the future and that place is beautiful
Would love to ride in Colorado but Utah isn't half bad either. 👊👍
Utah is on my list!
Dude is this at 30 or 60fps? Also do you have image stabilisation? Footage is a little choppy by 2020 standards. Looks like an awesome place btw! 👍🏾
60fps. UA-cam butchers GoPro footage, I have friends that use the 8 and look just as choppy in some cases, in the woods especially..
Moab, UT next????
You mentioned you were the smallest at 250cc. What size were the other bikes? My 02 KTM250 is fine locally in NH. Curious what works best out there
What camera are you running? If it is a GoPro 7 or 8, crank up the stabilization perhaps?
What trail is this? How did you guys find such an easy trail in colorado?
I live in Colorado. Could you please tell me where this is located?
Gdmornin Brother
Can you tell me the name of this trail? Near Taylor Park?
:28 the ringing in your ear is a sign there was a sasquatch nearby.
I've always wanted to do stuff like this but it's impossible to find people to do it with rip.
Make a solo trip! Or find more friends haha. Hell I'll go with ya.
I trail ride in Colorado
what kind of action cam are you useing, also on what position?
Hero 4 Black chin mounted!
I’d recommend going a gear up through those rock sections and a little more momentum. Works for me anyway.
Momentum is key!
Que regrese la atc :(
Deadman’s Gulch?
The KTM sounds like 50cc, the Honda sounded much better.
What's the top speed of the KTM?
What Honda?
Try sleeping next to the ocean.. ears. Forget it!
True!
Hmu, I'll show you rocky mountains and high desert. Your in a dirt riders haven.
Is it normal for me to feel offended when you called a beautiful singletrack trail a "rut"? ;)
You can still have a rut in a single track trail and when it goes from muddy to dried up and you hit it wrong can really suck eating dirt. However if you find you are looking really far ahead you can save lots of crashes with throttle and momentum.

Thankfully my gf hasn't been around the block too much lol but yes people love to hate.
Your suppose to go up the terrain not some man made road.
drop some air out of that front tire!
You can tell you dont have a bike

That 300 2 strokes does not fit your low rev riding style.. KTM 350xc will do fosho
His is a 250
stop using the clutch to shift gears! Rookie mistake man
I'm not a rookie, I've been riding since 1964 and I always use the clutch to shift. Transmission lasts a lot longer that way.
@@EasyRiderGreg you dont need the clutch on a sequential transmission, dont be dumb old timer
