Id love to go there to visit one day!
I moved from Pittsburgh 30 years ago and this virtual visit is very nice. It is clean and beautiful, but it is quite sad to see the Downtown Kaufman’s with covered up windows, no Hornes Dept Store, and no Gimbels Dept Store. Going downtown at Christmas and roaming through those multi level Department Stores with their Christmas window displays and the Hornes’ tree and Jack Bogut’s Children’s Hospital Christmas fundraisers was a special part of growing up in Pittsburgh. I hope this was filmed on a Saturday because there are almost no people on the sidewalks. I remember the sidewalks to be very bustling with employees and shoppers on weekdays when I grew up and was in college.
Thank you J Utah for your wonderful video and write-up about one of America's greatest cities. Given the lack of business types on the streets, I'd say this was filmed on a weekend. Nonetheless, the Downtown has a nice vibe and presents itself better than most. I miss it everyday and hope to return there.

Great video! I felt like I was in the car with you. There were several comments mentioning Pittsburgh's size. The CSA population is 2.7 million people. The more immediate metropolitan area has 2.3 million people. The incorporated city has shrunk to 301,000...down from 676,000 when I was born.
The most scenic way to come into Pittsburgh is to drive down the parkway from Greentree and through the Fort Pitt Tunnels. The view of the city as you emerge from the tunnels is breathtaking. After driving around in the city head up to Mount Washington which overlooks the city. It's a beautiful panoramic view of Pittsburgh which is better than a lot of cities.

Pittsburgh is also known as the steel city along with the Allegheny bridge and the Pittsburgh skyline in the day and night time too
I went to Pittsburgh once, it was really nice. A friend of mine was in college there, the schools are excellent. The Warhol museum is amazing. Pittsburgh is just a bit off the beaten track, not so easy to get there, which is probably why it's still nice.
I live two hours east of Pittsburgh and my youngest lives in Shadyside and works at PNC headquarters. He wants to never have to leave Pittsburgh.
I love Pittsburgh 💔😢
I went there three days i live it too
It's nice to see a downtown that isn't mostly parking lots and boxy office towers built in the last 50 years.
