    this Olympics in Beijing, I thought they were implementing the Adidas remote chest gears? If so, they need to make sure that they adjust the sensitivity to only score hard hits.

  • @liberalclownshow
    @liberalclownshow 17 років тому

    no problem...i agree with you that you don't have to hit that hard, but it is supposed to be 'trembling shock" in order to get a point under national and international rules. the problem with not using pressure sensitive auto scoring vests is that judges can score taps, and not score hard hits; inconsistent.

    IN response to your breakdown...
    1. You are right, we don't allow those things.
    2. We have continuous fighting also; we don;t stop after a point, it is just that we don't allow holding, and many fighters purposely jam their opponents up after scoring a point and closing the gap; that there is no counter.
    3. We are full contact WITH equipment, its true...no way we could lose the equipment in our sport.
    4. Mere hits? I used to train with two chest protectors.

    this is shinkyokushin, but i think tsukamoto decided to fight like tae kwon do against someone who is clearly tae kwon do, either way, its interesting to see in adaptation

      i've never been in a Tae Kwon do class my whole life, it was a choice i made to fight him like that because i knew i wouldn't match his experience. this was my first time ever fighting in a World class competition. i have nothing but respect to my big brother Tsukamoto

    The kick at about 2:07 or 2:08 from the Japanese guy wasn't a fancy kick?

    i do like these rules; very similar to olympic tkd rules, except without gear. we only implemented pur gear, because the sport was getting too fast, to powerful, and too technical. people havce died with headshots with headgear (anaheim, ca. '99 us open), as well as suffered broken ribs with chest gear; it would be insane to lose the gear. would be a good matchup yunder these rules though with no gear; we too punch to the body; not the face in competetition; very similar.

    Soko fights like a TKD guy, thats the problem with TKD in my opinion, they commit too much to an attack. Tsukamoto picked him apart nicely

    i actually would like to see the gear dropped so Olympic tkd would get more respectr as a striking art. unless you are a fighter, you cannot tell how much power is being distributed unless you are in the ring, or close by to hear the shots. people think we "slap" or flicker kicks; far from it. it is full power, and no gear would end bad quickly.

    I agree man. There are too many McDojos propagating what they teach as authentic Tae Kwan Do or Karate. Full contact is what its all about, no less. For some reason I feel that you arent lying about your experience. Do you teach?

    I know Karate but never hunted a "baffalo"
    You are aware that even if this man ever hunted in his life, which i doubt, the odds of catching a buffalo are kinda slim in South Africa.. Read some books

    this is very much kyokushin karate. not what you might see as the norm for kyokushin karate. the japanese guy is TSUKAMOTO. he is now in IKO2 which is also known as SHINKYOKUSHIN. it is still kyokushin. the african dude.....well i dont really know why he is fighting like that. but tsukamoto's fighting style has always been alot of fancy kicks, looking for the knockout. he doesn't like getting in close. hope this helps. OSU!

    • @simonkubeka394
      @simonkubeka394 7 років тому +5

      The reason why his fighting like that is because Tsukamoto is heavier than him as you can clearly see. You fight toe to toe with someone twice your size, thats suicide.

    ironwarrior; i have trained in olympic tkd for 30 yrs, and i am a counterfighter and i don't agree with the "commit too much thing", this south african sucks if you ak me; he would have his ass handed to him at our world championships held every 2 years; he telegraphs, is too slow, and one dimensional; timing sucks as well. oh, he wouldn't place at nationals, he wouldn't make it to team trials (round robin matches), and he wouldn't even make the team to go to worlds.
