So how does Gorse damage agrigcultural land exactly? Bit confused because on my grandads farm that has been in the family for 120 years has tons of gorse in the hedges. Its great for bees and birds nest in it at well like longtails and thrushes and blackbirds. Its quite simple to keep under control. It cannot grow in the shade very well. Same as broom. Mayvbe is people mis management of the land. So far the Gorse has not taken over the farm in 120 year.

I'm guessing European honey bees aren't your average, local bee. But then I suppose, neither are sheep, or clover, or northern hemisphere trees.
