Yes--this reminds me of Fats Waller and is well-played. The tone setting is very good. I treat mine like a Les Paul, and find at medium high volumes, and in any studio work, that this guitar is incredibly versatile as to tone capability, plus it delivers the great benefit of sounding pretty great for practicing without being plugged in. I've miked mine in the studio for an actual acoustic sound that really adds the retro vibe.

Very nice, man. What is the name of the music you play? In what year was the guitar made?

I have one of these but I just can't get into it, and yours sounds very "Tocky" too.

The "tocky" sound is because this is an acoustic electric instrument and the volume and tone are too high. The Broadway sounds smoky and heavy, when set properly. Acoustic archtops are very crisp and loud (even the lesser made versions), it is truly in their design...so, as a (shall we say) "rule", you must set the volume and tone controls very different than an electric guitar, and fine adjustments to the controls open up wonderful versatility with these acoustic guitars.

@@jamescpht I found if you regulate the tone (esp. the treble) at the amp, it's very effective more than regulating with the tone knob on the guitar itself. The tone knob on the guitar allows some of the top nuances to come through, but regulating at the amp takes a lot of the bite off while still retaining the nuances from the guitar.
