Tijuana guy here and I can confirm that these tacos are THE BEST damn tacos in the city! and I've tried ALL of the popular/classic stands (it's impossible to try absolutely every single taco place). Taconazo is great, El Ruso are very good, El Gordo ain't what it use to be (unless you go to their location in Colonia Postal), Ahumaderas are ok... But El Franc beats them all by A LOT! BTW Any of the places I named can beat any other taco place in any other city in Mexico any day & twice on Sunday! (specifically Carne Asada & Adobada/Pastor). That's why TJ has gained the rest of the country's respect for having the best tacos in Mexico. And tacos are just the start, TJ has a booming gastronomic scene, also one of the best in the country ...
Ok fine. Now I'm stuck here in Morocco where I live. But as soon as Covid is over, I will take a plane, go to Tijuana and do 4 things : 1 Eat "A Ton" of Tacos at El Franc. 2) Plays Golf in Tijuana 3 Eat the famous "Cesar salad" 4) Have the best Cocktails in the World. And meet the nicest people. Promised before I die....
Ramiro knows us personally, he is always welcoming, these are my favorite tacos in all Tijuana. The Al Pastor are to die for 😍👍 we are die hard costumers for life!
Mi novia es de Medellín y miro la serie netflix el año pasado. Nos conocimos , soy de familia de tijuas y la voy a llevar por primera vez hahaha ! 🇲🇽💙🇨🇴
What ruins tacos outside of Mexico is that people sit down and order them. A waiter places the order, the tacos are made, they wait for a few minutes before getting to you. By that time, the taco is no longer piping hot, and the taco, like sushi, loses taste by the second. As I commonly say out of MX, estos pinches tacos valen madre. That's what a lot of people not from Mexico just don't get: you can have all the right ingredients and construction, but the delivery can just ensure you land a sub par roll of sorts. For this, a good taco connaisseur, sits at the taco bar and rarely orders more than two tacos at a time; he downs one or a couple and just keeps ordering and ordering more every time, keeping count of the tacos (honor system), enjoying also the grilled onions and chiles, downing a soft drink, beer or agua fresca. Although Franc is not my favorite taco stand, their tacos are still really good, and I definitely recommend them.
@@Velc3838 i haven't been back in 2 to 3 yrs but my classic go tos we're taconazo, Frances in playas, salseados, and just about any tacos estilo sonora. Don't get me wrong, franc and el gordo still make excellent tacos, and it's great eating there if you're passing by. In Chula Vista, taqueria is actually really, really good, in case crossing the border is just too much of a hassle.
@@JorgeGarcia-lw7vc you can't really be saying that and then mention el taconazo as your go to, lol. The most overated tacos in TJ, that's most like a restaurant for overpriced small tacos served by a waiter.

Tijuana has way better tacos than this place. Its average tacos at best. It just gets hype cuz its right next to the border a ne easy to access for gringos. The best tacos come with handmade tortillas fresh off the grill
Its all hype, I make better tacos at home using prime meats and organic ingredients and I don't have to wait in line 5 hours at the border or risk getting kidnapped and my fingers and ears cut for ransom over some street tacos

Nearly 1 out of 3 adults in your country is obese. That's because y'all eat nasty, unhealthy stuff like tacos.

That is not "al pastor" ... that's is a"adobado", look the same but it's a different taste
Karenina Producer not true adobada and al pastor are the same thing

Buenos tacos, pero los del frances en playas estan mas buenos.
Son los mismos, las cosas se preparan en la taquería de playas y de ahí se mandan al Soler y a zona Río, en las tres taquerías sabe igual XD
