That JL XD600v2 is a great little amp. I have it powering (2) 12" JL W6v3's, and they sound amazing.
The lines/marking on the bolts is to see if they come undone.

I know the install is the primary concern. I was looking at Morels for 3 way active, but Steg looks like a great option.
I don't get why they do not publish all T/S parameters, only Qts, which closer to 0.3 - 0.4 which is quite low for door install, rather more suitale for sealed box.

Those STEG drivers do look good.
Then again, they might look shit, but still sound brilliant.
I personally love the stem never heard them bud they just look very well built a d quality performance...
Bro i just about peed my pants i started dying laughing when you said "No we're not Fred & Sound" LOLLL - Man that guy is a Steg SHILL! You can message him and say hey how is the Scanspeak or how is the Focal Utopia? Ho is the Audison Thesis? and he will say "Oh , no that sucks, steg is the best!" like with no data to back it up.. im glad you showed measurements of the last steg drivers you installed I have more confidence in the product now than Fred's obvious biased opinion...
They are great products, but anyone trying to take any feedback away from that channel is stupid! It’s just like showing pics of speakers in boxes/free-air, which is only eye-candy. We all want proper, real life feedback and that’s exactly what we share here.

Great videos, I enjoy watching you throughout your projects, but I have a question. Why don't you ever use brands like Sundown, Orion, Skar audio, kicker in your project?? Is it just for bassheads and won't really fit in the SQ scope or is it budget related? I hope I can get an answer from you. Thanks!
Yepp, they are not for sq freaks and those brands are not even that popular/available in UK.
I miss my old liquid yellow 182 so much! I hear you have experienced the heavy clutch? Will be interesting how you get on with mounting the 4" drivers on the dash, especially on the drivers side as the ventilation ductwork sits right under the factory tweeter position and is very shallow. I also fitted 6.5" drivers in the doors which fit quite well once I'd cut away some of the door card. Look forward to seeing this progress!!

Sorry, but i can’t see issues with a system from 1000s of miles. It can be dozens of different things and endless variations of it without seeing/hearing it.
This is one of the reasons why i don’t offer remote tuning.

Client wanted it through the HU for ease of use, but you could use it via HEC BT/USB or have a coax->optical converter too and send it to the optical input of the HU.

It was me with the comment about using the speakers on every built.... but I was not talking about these speakers, I was talking about the ones that have a silver ( metalic) cone. Im assuming that was the confusion........hahaha
Ahh probably the Micro Precision 5series midrange, which is an awesome 3” wideband midrange tbf.
My mother had this kind of car (basic model) when I got my driver's license. Terrible to drive and the French design is just ugly xD I've had a real struggle when I've been looking for midranges coz I wanted to have 4" driver in minimum :D
