Wow gonna try adding meat I've always cooked it regular. Yet I add a spicy can of tomatoes chilli, diced onion, diced garlic and cumin for more flavor now that's the bomb.
Oh my grandma used to make this for me when I was feeling bad… I made it a few times for her before she passed when I was in college. This is still my number one favorite comfort food of all time and every time I make it I think of my grandma. Now I know what I’m having for dinner tonight. Thank you for sharing your love
Love this. I’m going to make this for my grandmother. She is from Mexico City. Years ago she opened a restaurant near San Diego. Brings back memories. Looking at me you’d never know I have Hispanic, people are always surprised. Then I cook them a recipe from grandmother. Never questioned again 🥰
One of my favorites from childhood. My mom and grandmother would use either round steak or ground beef but steak was used more often and it was perfect. They're both gone now but they did show my sisters and I how to make it. It's never quite the same though. The comments about ways to do it differently make me smile and I'm sure they would work fine but there's no one single way to make this meal. I think the best way is the way you grow up enjoying it. If any of us would have suggested to mom or grandma a better or different way, they would have smiled and said "That's not how I do it. Sit down and eat." I enjoyed this video!
I LOVE that you cook for your grandparents. I cooked for my parents and I miss that! You're a sweet granddaughter! Also, please include them in more videos💜
Angelina- I am very sure your grandma was happy to get that food! It is a blessing that you have your grandma. I miss my family grands , parents , siblings, aunts & uncles the cousins too. Not fun losing them all . Yes think 🤔 t is coming full circle for you . Watching her cooking & learning. Now you treating her. That is wonderful & a blessing for you both. 🙏💕Thanks for sharing the video with us! 💞
This is my go to soup. I always make it. My mother loves it. I add onions and chopped up bell peppers to it, it gives it an extra flavor. Chilli powder does wonders, I add it as well.
@JL Franco Thanks for sharing the additions that you add to this dish. I was inquiring under another comment about that. Can you add vegetables like carrots or spinach?
When I make fideo I toast all the spices first and I add comino also the tomato sauce needs to be cooked in the oil makes it more flavorful I make little balls of ground beef instead of chuck steak, my mother always taught me you never mix fideo or cover it because it will turn to mush , but it’s a family staple in Mexican cooking 👍🎃🍁🍂👻
This looks so delicious 😋. I grew up with this, it was our baby sitters go to meal. I learned how to cook Mexican food through UA-cam. My mom didn't teach me how to cook, and I don't have grandparents. This looks so simple and delicious I can't wait to make this for my kids
I make this but after browning the meat, I add 1 tablespoon vinegar, the broth and allow to simmer for about an hour, adding more broth as needed. I then toast the noodles in separate pan, add onions and garlic until softened, pour that into the meat and broth, simmer for 15minutes and enjoy
Wow Anjelica how delicious n easy that was to make. What a yummy treat. your grandparents are gonna enjoy. How blessed u are to have them still n to be able to cook for them. They are very proud of you no doubt. Keep cooking n posting..
The last time I had Fideo was when my mom was still alive. She made the best. Unfortunately, I never got the recipe. Thank you for making this video now I can make my own,
Thanks for sharing another yummy recipe! Definitely the soup to eat when it's freezing outside. I'll bet you made your grandparents very happy. (Hope they hugged you!)
Great tip about toasting the pasta to preserve the texture! I hesitate adding noodles to soup because I don't like them bloated and soggy, so now I know how to prevent it. Thank you!
My 2 year old loves this. His granddad on his father's side remarried. And she's from Mexico. So I'm always at their house eating something lol. But my son will fight you about his sopa. And he wants his a little spicy 🤣🤣
OMG I'm kind of famous for loving to make comfort-food-style soups and stews and these ones you have here are killer. Is the weather cooling off where you live? Because I'm in southeast Pennsylvania and this time of year I'm all soup soup soup gotta have soup soup soup. And I can totally relate because my sister and I both used to make my dad lentil soup in his last years and my sister once asked which he liked better and he wouldn't say. (Mine is better. I haven't had hers but it is.) : ) Anyway great content and keep up the good work.
Angelica, ¿Cómo es que tu familia no está gorda? With all this excellent food you make and eat, you all should be fornido. LOL. Thank you for this recipe. I will be making it soon. Right now I am making your Enchilada Suizas. (They were such a big hit last time, just last week, I am making them again by request).
You are so blessed to still be able to do this for your grandparents🥰🥰🥰🥰💐💐💐💐 All mine are angels now. 😌
Such a good granddaughter. That looks delicious and made with love.
Wow gonna try adding meat I've always cooked it regular. Yet I add a spicy can of tomatoes chilli, diced onion, diced garlic and cumin for more flavor now that's the bomb.
My parents used to make this many years ago. They've been gone for over 20 years and this brought back such happy memories. Thank you ❤
Your grandparents are so blessed to have a granddaughter like you!

This was a childhood staple in my home
It's so nice to cook for those who fed us when we were young. Its nourishment for the soul.
And she's the one who taught you how to cook, yes? That's love full circle💕🍜🥘
You truly are a phenomenal cook!!
We grew up cooking it with ground beef, so good and great memories. I care for my elderly mom now and I have made it with either fideo or conchas. ❤
Blessings Upon You Sweet Granddaughter. You adore and are there for your Familia. I ask God to continue to be there for you as you are for others.
Love is the most important ingredient for any soup. You added heaps to this soup. I wish I could have a bowl right now!
This brought me memories of my Grandmother. She was a great cook and I learned by watching her in the kitchen.

A polite tip: let the meat sit for a minute or two before stirring to brown other sides. Great recipe I’m going to try it this weekend 👍👍👍👍
