I grew up in the area and part of Sydney where this was filmedmost of it bar the shop sceneds were done around South Granville Merrylands, my old home town :) it's all pretty accurate but an exaggeration, Iv'e known a few Frankie types but they always disappeared fast from our social circle, locked up I imagine lol. Paul knows a lot about life in my old area, even how we used to get around using the storm water drians when young, he's one of the old boys, he came along after me though, im older. Many people were very offended at the time as it showed the bad side of Western Sydney, it's a bit too close to the truth and some were very upset, also it's from the early 2000's, about 2004 by memory. The biker boss is Angry Anderson who was the lead singer of a Australian rock band named Rose Tattoo, they are very good, check out their music, I love their sogng Rock N roll Outlaw and others. The government don't build new areas and put low income earners/single mothers etc all together as they once did, as this is what often happened. Eventually the areas do settle down though and become decent as the idiots either grow up or get locked up, and the ones who don't eventually find they can't afford to live there any more and need to move away.. These days they break them up put a houso house between other houses where people work and are productive in life. They found that the people then try harder as they see their neighbours moving forward,maybe buying a boat or a caravan for instance, so they then want a boat and then pull their finger out and try harder in life.
Checkout a British show called Afterlife with Ricky Gervais, it's an absolute pissa but in a different way to Houso's, its really raw, & very character rich too 😉👍
Give Fat Pizza another go, it gets better, but if it's not for you that's cool bro, Swift and Shift was done but the same group and I just couldn't get into that show.... Also a Thong (underwear) here is called a G-string or G banger lol.
