Wow I'm elated seeing this video. I'm from Shillong, Meghalaya and this specific region of lower Assam and neighbouring Khasi Hills is also called Kamakhya punya kshetram by some purohits here. Maa Kamakhya is our patron mother and she is the Devi of the NE region. I have been to the temple many times. The pandas here are nice and helpful too. I feel NE gets really sidelined when it comes to temples and santana dharma, so I'm going to mention two other temples- Maa Jayantishvari Temple/Nartiang Durga Temple in my state (this temple is quite ancient and the devi here is considered a shaktipeeth) and Maa Tripurasundari/Matabari in Udaipur, Tripura, these temples are lesser known and if you are in NE I recommend you to visit them. The NE has a history of Santana Dharma too however its lesser known. Joy Maa Kamakhya.

I visit kamakhya two days ago.... After the darshan and parikrama , while I was leaving... All of a sudden a old woman wearing a blue saree came and asked me in bengali if could give her some coconut prasad ( which I was carrying) ... I had offered half in the temple so I had the other half now. I broke a few pieces and gave her... Along with it I gave her few sandesh... She smiled and walked... Our car was supposed to come near the crossing and I was constantly looking looking at her while she walked... She constantly walked and the place she stopped , that's where the driver brought our car. She stopped and looked at me smiling. So did I. I joined my hands in a namaskar form and said, " Ami ashi ". She asked me where I was from... I said siliguri... She smiled... And said something.... She was all alone... I still remember her smile though her face isn't that clear in my mind. She had a broken tooth .
I don't know but I just feel so lucky and powerful after the visit . And out of nowhere suddenly my love and bhakti for maa kamakhya has increased so much . I don't know why. But it was my first visit. And now I wanna go again

@@saivismithabalaji5807 you have to come to Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport. From there you can take either cab or buses (which will drop you to the entrance gate of Kamakhya temple). I prefer you should come one day earlier before visiting the temple. There are plenty of hotels near Kamakhya gate or you can also book a hostel near the temple premise. If you want to give Puja to the Garva Griha, make sure to come to the temple as early as possible (at least try to come before 4 AM in the morning) if you want to line in the queue. If you take VIP pass then you can come at 6 AM also but not after that. If you come at 6 AM by taking VIP pass then you will be guided by a Panda ( Purohit), and the entire process of your puja will be completed by 2 PM. Try to come in normal days, don't come in festive season like Durga puja, Kali puja, Annapurna Puja annd during Ambubachi Mela ( June- July) because at that time there is so much rush.

I used to stay there on rent in the hill. There is a residential area near the temple. I have experienced immense power in the surroundings. My life changed completely. When i had to shift to a different place because of my job, alot of unfortunate things started happening to me, even met with an accident on the very day of shifting. It might be a coincidence but kind of felt like kamakhya maa ddnt wanted me to leave the place. I cleared all the exams i sat for and landed a job when i was there. But since i shifted from there inspite of working so hard even harder my luck kinda left me. All i am saying i felt immense power jst by staying nearby. I ddnt even visit the temple much and even now if i cross the gate when i vsit the city i feel the same power.

On the 4th day we clean our homes like everything from our kitchen to our mandirs (just like diwali ki safai) then only after that we do puja.and yes there's a specific time of starting and ending of Ambubachi

My experience was a mix, though the energies are powerful but the Pandas are quite manipulative and make big money by luring the people. i visited Kamkhya ma temple on 6th of this Oct. I am also a South Indian had been to a trip to Meghalaya starting from Guwahati, hence I have a general experience to share.
      1) Temple is extremely sacred and peaceful.
2)the crowd that visits there is crazy, similar to Tirupati if you have visited. I suggest you to go for ViP ticket so that darshan will be quicker(within 2-3 hours).
      3) Do not get fooled by random pandits in the campus of the temple as they might charge thousands of bucks for pooja. Sad part I felt is that the temple is extremely commercialised. It appears that the temple is full of money minded pandits.
      4) I had been to the temple with certain idea such as seeing aghoras or tantrics. But the majority what we get to see is general public.
      5) let us be realistic. this applies if you are a commoner with no special spiritual power or you’re blessed soul by Maa Kamakhya, do not expect anything miraculous experience in the first visit.
My personal belief is that it’s all about the connection with Maa Kamakhya. If our soul has the capacity to attract her grace or if we are doing strict sadhana to attain her connection, that’s when there can be real experiences with Maa. If we are a normal person with no much idea about her, I’m sure we can still seek her blessing just that do not expect miracle. If that happens to you , you’re already blessed by her.
Learn more about Maa and the temple before visting.
She is definitely a superpower we just need to uplift our soul till we attain her blessings.

Can you ask him about Nepal. Beacuse its said that Nepal is bound/protected by Tantra or smth. Its also said to be Lord Shiva and Parvati's playground. Its also believed that there was heavy use of tantra by Prithivi Narayan Shah (person who unified Nepal, ancestor of the last royal family of Nepal) during unification process. There are also a lot of bhairav temples around here (the photo of bhairav statue you use in you thumbnails is also from Kathmandu) and ofcourse who can forget Pashupatinath.

People have started visiting this temple when after fandomhood of worshipping Shiva started.
I have been visiting Mahakaal since the age of 17.
Been such a bhakt that once I went alone via train at the age of 18-19 and that too when trains were not even direct.

Hi, I am an Indian moving to Canada. Already stayed there for 8 months and came back recently due to family reasons. When I am in Canada I miss temples a lot & deity darshan too. There are few temples but will be very far to go on a frequent basis (in terms of feasibility I mean). New country, no friends or family, loneliness & at least to connect to the god by visiting temple or some, seems very difficult. So, I need a suggestion what can I do : to put some type of yantra or vigraha at home that makes me feel good that I am surrounded by god (tell me which one is suggestible & it’s limitations please). Thank you for this video btw.

    • @eternalchild7272

@saipraneeth the gift that Ranveer got , is a cloth piece . A sacred cloth piece that is a blessing of Maa Kamakhya . During a certain period called "ambabachi " , the temple gates and main doors get closed or shut down on its own for 5 days because it is believed and also proved that those days Maa has her menstruation period and the water flow in the garbhagriha that Nandy is talking about , turns red due to the blood flow from Maa . During that time , in advance , white pure cotton clothes are kept in the water there and these turns out to be red . They are later distributed among the bhaktas visiting the temple . Nandy gave ranveer a piece of that cloth . It is Very sacred .
