And this atmosphere. Because the Faithless is already a separate musical universe in itself, but the first album, the Reverence is a separate feeling of life even within that, and the Drifting Away is a separate musical world even within that. In a word, this is really something quite extraordinary, cumulatively wonderful and priceless musical masterpiece.
18 éves voltam, mikor először hallottam ezt a számot. Olyan nagy hatással volt rám a zenéjük, hogy azonnal a rajongójuk lettem. Sok-sok alkalommal lendített át a holtponton a zenéjük. Ezt soha nem felejtem el! Köszönöm! Nyugodj békében!
Years...........for years I have had an obsession with finding this song.....I cannot tell you how many people I have asked, how many times I have tried to emulate this on different instruments and especially how many artists i have listened to, Aphex Twin, Leftfield, Brian Eno, moby, practically every single trance/chillout song there is and it was FUCKIN' FAITHLESS ALL ALONG! ....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! THE ONE ARTIST I WENT THROUGH BUT GAVE UP ON BECAUSE I ASSUMED THEY DIDN'T DO THIS! I CAN NOW LIFE THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH CONTENTMENT AND INNER PEACE. FUCK!
Trigger Happy TV brought me to this anthem. Thanks Faithless & Dom Joly. Searched for years. Irony it took Coviddy times to occur & I found it. Now I listen every other day. I had no idea it was Faithless
1:54 "Don't know why. Don't know why." 2:38 "Is that you saying"... 2:46 "Just get out there, do your thing"... 2:49 "Try to understand"... 3:02 "Sometimes, when I come"...
The message in the lyrics of god is a dj, and that he got that message across to those unable to hear using sign language, is for me so profound. The world is a poorer place for your passing, and a richer one for your presence in it. May you rest in peace
Its was Penny Shaw, I recorded her for the intro. Done at Swanyard Studios Islington, pretty tricky to keep the levels right when you have an opera singer singing in a tiny vocal booth. She could sure belt it out!
Halo the series uses a slowed version of this track (0:52) in several episodes, prominently in ep. 2, the sound it's so haunting!! too sad it was used for such a mediocre show
Rest in peace Maxi. Thank you for leaving behind such legendary music.
Bless you
RIP Maxi Jazz. Your music will live forever.
RIP to everyone who has never been able to find this tune

Actually it's the intro of an opera by Italian composer Boito
Sung by Penny Shaw at Swanyard Studios London, recorded by myself@@CosmetrixNl

Swear I'm down on my knees to find that same track they used on the show, it was slowed to perfection
