Thanks a lot, the official Hohem video instructions or manual was confusing as hell. The product is great tho but they gotta work on the manuals/instructions.
I hadn't used my mt2 in over year. I was trying to balance my tamaron 28-200 with the Zv-e1. Had some trouble and remembered cool people like you are on UA-cam. Thanks for the info. You got my sub !
I went through a lot of videos including Hohem to help me calibrate and show me how to work it. I am novice as it comes and you did a better job than all of those people combined with their fancy cuts and music. Good job
Way to go black man. I've been trying to figure this out. All damn year that goddamn access in that um. Create me up-and-down. I didn't realize you had to move that little knob and turn it to make it go up-and-down to set the first setting.
Appreciate it! Hohem should pay you!!!! without your super understandable, not filled with background music and million jumpcuts, tutorial, I was able to to use this Gimbal!
9:00 I can't thank you enough for this, I thought my camera might be the problem and I never found any actual troubleshoot for this and thought I can only to the ICP mode in phone, but you saved me, thanks a lot
Glad it helped! I played with it for a while and also contacted the company for support. Mostly it was lack of info in their instructions. I eventually figured it out through trial and error.
I think you should add the word troubleshooting to your title. UA-cam made me spend 20 mins typing and retyping a title that would get me to a video like yours. I guess the low sub #. Idk but your video was THE most helpful. You explained things people would ask. I am balancing my phone and was about to send this thing back until I found your video. Its still not balanced because of your insightful VORTEX check but at least I am not getting an error message anymore😒. Not sure what is off with this phone balance but I guess I will keep trying!!
Man this video saved me from roasting my motors. I got a question though. If I’m not using my gimbal but my cam still mounted on it can I leave the lock switches unlocked or do I need to lock them??
I dont think it would damage the gimbal but if you set it on a table using the tripod feet it might be unstable and fall. Depends on how heavy the camera and lens are I suppose.
Anthony, thanks a mill for a crystal clear video!. I have both, the X-H2 and the MT2 and am still sitting on the fence whether to send the MT2 back. The reason is the very limited compatibility list on the Hohem website and the fact that my X-H2 lives in a Smallrig cage and I don't want to remove the cage every time I use the gimbal. I had a Nitze cage prior to the Smallrig cage and the X-H2 in a Nitze cage will definitely NOT fit on a Hohem MT2 (there are 2mm missing in width!). Please keep us posted on your progress. All the best! Astrid
Hi Anthony and thank you for your work, so useful for a gimbal newbie like me 😅 I’m wondering if there is a way to control the Fuji xh2 without to have to fight between Hohem bracket and the rec button especially when mount camera vertically…it is really difficult and unpleasant because the start and the end of a video are always so shaky while trying to start and stop recording…hope is there a solution that is not to use iPhone as remote only…please help me. Thank you!
Yes. The Hohem gimbal comes with a cable that connects to your remote shutter port on the H2 or H2S. It will allow you to start and stop recording using the button on the gimbal. It will also allow you to take photos with that same button.
Do you have to rebalance your gimbal if you change focal length on the sigma 18-50 for example like for example if you balance if 18mm and you change the focal to 50mm and do the vortex mode?
Usually I do not rebalance it when changing focus with the Sigma 18-50mm. But I don't use vortex mode after adjusting focal length. You could also try extending the zoom half way and then balance it on the gimbal. That way the travel distance won't likely make much difference on the overall balance. Makes sense?
Dear Anthony thank you so much for your replay, very appreciated but actually I can’t figure out how to. I have try to use the usb type c cappe connected to my Xh2 usb c port and to the on on the gimbal itself (the one with camera icon) but it doesn’t work! Do I have to set the Fuji usb c port behavior in some specific way? Or have to do do something on the homem? Or I’m completely wrong with this cable and having to use one with 3.5mmz jack? Please help me because I have to exclude that is an issue of my gimbal or at least of my camera! Waiting for you. Thank you for the support.
@@Rholmes2010 Anthony I finally got it!! Thank you 🙏 Could you tell me if you can charge your camera plugged to mt2 with the usb c cable while using it? I ask you this because my xh2 seems to recharge itself only when turned off while mt2 is still operating…quite strange and useless I think..
@davidpoo66 What vertical axis button are you referring to? I'm not aware of a vertical axis mode button. But each axis lock is unlocked by sliding the associated switch. You have to slide them and not press them.
I've found vibration to the balance being off where you need to try rebalancing again. Also try using the calibration feature after you balance it. Another reason could be that the camera and lens is too heavy for the gimbal. Lastly it could be that one of the 3 axis is not unlocked.

This is my first gimbal. After I figured it out I tried to help others through the confusion.
Awesome!

The Bluetooth control and the focus wheel are not compatible with the H2. But the record button does work if you connect the included wire.
I have xh2. I can't find a suitable gimbal in any compatibility list. Can you help me?
Thank you so much, your tutorial was my savior!!!!!!!😊😊😊Update, any idea why I'm getting a error code 03. I can't find the answer.😮
😊😊
It's possible you didn't get one of the axis balanced properly or your lens is too heavy.

You have to use the remote trigger jack on the camera. It's right above the card reader door. You have to open the little door to access it.

@giulianodipilla1243 The Hohem MT2 is not a PD charger so it's only capable of charging the camera when it's turned off unfortunately.
i got fuji camera to this is helpful video bro
Can this unit control zoom on a compatible lens?
There is a compatible list at a link on the company website. It would depend on the camera . I recommend you check there.
My vertical axis doesn't button does nothing , im doing something wrong 😮
Can you explain your issue further?
@@Rholmes2010 I see virtually no difference on the various modes.
