Adam Wingard stated the next movie he wants to do is a Godzilla-heavy version of GxK with Kong taking the back seat and Godzilla in the driver's seat.
Chance had such a bright future ahead of him. A friend of mine passed away a few months ago from a motorcycle accident, he was only 33 or 34 and was already quite renowned in my country as a successful businessman. He had a number of expensive cars, instead he took his motorcycle one night and drove recklessly and lost balance.
That risk is not worth it.

People forget that Godzilla 2014 had a bigger opening than Winter Soldier and Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The reason why these films are so Kong focused is because King Kong is our monster, and he should have had many films establishing lore and a rogues gallery ages ago we never capitalized on Kong being ours the way Godzilla was in Japan. So these films are trying to correct that mistake, adding godzilla is kinda major at this point but i think Kong could carry a film on his own not now but before all of this started i think he could have carried multiple films alone
The thing is, Godzilla overtook the popularity of Kong and for good reason. Kong cannot take on many of the Toho monsters that Godzilla can. While there are many interesting stories they can tell with just Kong, Godzilla in the title elevates the films more.
@@kael3691 right of course i agree but kong should have had his own monsters and his own contenders where one could say that he possibly could take them on, its like we’re getting all of this up front now instead of over the coarse of decades like godzilla. Imagine if Kong was having lore establishing films since 1933 and we gave him monsters to fight.

I like Godzilla more, but Kong like Godzilla should have had more films and more outings like this without Godzilla needing to be there. We’re over due for Kong movies like this. Godzilla has had decades of monsters and lore to build and be who he is, me saying Kong should have had that too but America isn’t even a challenge or debate against Godzilla 😂

I was already interested in seeing godzilla x kong but when i seen kong punch scar kings tooth out in the trailer is what definitely sold me.
The blue crystal was part of the previous film they find the Godzilla thingy in hollow Earth and drill into it and pop out a chunk

In order to top this godzilla kong movie they are going to need a full on Kaiju war movie next. I'm talking Destroy All Monsters meets Avengers Endgame.

All the Kaiju come to battle because they are called by an unknown source to battle to the death. I'm here for all of it!
It will be interesting to see if Rogan makes a return. Something from space crashes to Earth similar to King Ghidorah that actually poses a real threat to Godzilla and Kong.

Good point about signaling with our dollars, but I also hope studios factor in weekly drop off, reviews and audience sentiment so they don't miss the lesson of the Transformers franchise: yes people will rush out to see some big IPs even if they're not high art, but make them too dumb for too long and people will tire of even the biggest named IPs, then even great follow ups will take long (or fail) to bring back the big bucks.

Scar King was interesting
Alex Garland is one of my favorite writer/director/autour filmmakers we have. I think everything hes done is essentially perfect. This sucks. But at least he will write still. And hes damn good at it. So, we will still see him do his thing. Thankful for that.

There was some issues with the streaming, and when it was first put up after being live, only about the last 3 minutes were up. It's been fixed, and now the whole show is up.
Who knew Godzilla x Kong was going to be a family movie? The screening we saw, 1pm RPX 3D had a lot of children.
The IMAX was close to full for every Dune Parts 2 screening.
How many people got eaten by a Titan?
Titans are the antagonist of the show. The concern is usually whether our heroes are responsible for collateral damage (or are held to unreasonable standards to be able to prevent it).
Either way, there are nuances or obvious differences to many situations. In a case like Godzilla, despite often being a story protagonist, he's an animal out to protect nature; most of his live action depictions establish and convey that he barely registers humans as anything more than ants or flies while he's doing his thing.
In Kong's case, it's a little more iffy because he's often attracted to and/or protective of a human(s), and acts near enough to human intellect that one can forget he's also an animal. Collateral deaths directly attributed to his actions feel a bit more off (but make sense).
It's more a valid concern when human heroes use their powers in ways that would clearly wipe out innocent bystanders. Villainous opponents may be fair game, depending on how evil they're shown to be, but entire internet debates rise about who should be depicted as callous killers (which is really a story choice).

John, you call yourdelf a nerd and you've never heard the term "hard sci-fi"????!!!!!! Look for books by Steven Baxter (or one).
Linda Carter's words betray a connection to the zeitgeist and the business, and are probably limited to support for an IP she got to revisit. Sure WW was great, but with WW64 being such drivel, who would have any belief in the performance of a 3rd film in that series? Wonder Woman, the IP needs to live on, but has better potential starting with a fresh slate in a [hopefully] revitalized cinematic universe.
Its hard for me to have sympthy with anyone who gets on a death-engine with two wheels, with no security other than a helmet.
Personally ive never understood why Motorcycles are even allowed.
And then there is the way a lot of motorcyclist ride, utter insanity.
Last year me and my wife nearly got in a serious accident on motorway beceause of a Motorcyclist.
I feel for his family, anyone who gets on a motorcycle dosnt value their life enough!

i thnk we need a gxk spoiler talk, getting giddy all the things you guys are hinting at, which I think I know what your talking about, but it would be nice to be able to just openly talk about it.
godzilla isnt ever knocked out. he gets knocked down. kong tries to pull him by tail, but then godzilla charges his breathe weapon and godzilla knocks kong down and stands on him and is about to kill him with the breathe weapon and then mothra shows up... and its bright light blinds both of them... And the prior Godzilla vs Kong, Godzilla wins the 3 fights. But the final fight was rock paper scissors which was cool. Godzilla> Kong, Kong> mechagodzilla, Mechagodzilla > Godzilla

Naw he was knocked out. You’ve never seen those ufc fights were a guy gets knocked out for a few seconds but then back up. Thats what happened here. Godzilla definitely got knocked out. And Kong was definitely dragging his ass for a minute.
@@damonestephens8722i dont think so. Watch it again. He punches him which knocks him down. He then starts to punch him in the head. Godzilla charges his breathe weapon but the final punch stops that charging. But, right after the punch , kong grabs the tail and starts pulling. The camera pans to the tail and the tail is charging again. That moment from the punch on the ground to stop the initial breathe charge attempt to when he does charge up during the drag is very short. like 5-7 seconds. its not long. (oh and i used to watch UFC and Boxing so i know what u r referring too). but it doesnt look like G was actaully knocked out. he was winded for a moment though (which i assume is why he stopped charging his breathe the first time).
