I am from UP and I have been living in telangana for a while. I realised that north Indians are not the only ones that form stereotypes. Here in telangana they are biased towards people from north, some guys had never met a north indian in life and were literally surprised when I told them I studied in english medium school in UP and they thought I had zero knowledge in coding. 😂

Me being a Bengali who faced racist ass comments from North Indians for not knowing Hindi well enough despite having 100/100 in Hindi in my boards. I faced “North Indian” prejudice from southies too but after a while when they realised I’m not from north and my culture and language is different from the Delhi-UP side they’re used to seeing they stopped it. Now I side with south in the conversation of which language binds us all. Maybe it’s due to colonisation but it truly is English. I would’ve said Sanskrit but then not everyone is Hindu so Muslims would be offended and after 1000 years of invasion barely anyone can converse in Sanskrit. Hindi is spoken by 40% Indians so this language cannot connect us together. So please stop assuming every Indian is Hindi.
