I love the mold. I am a cat mum of 6 and they are all around 14.5 years old. We have already lost 2. Julie I found just running a little bit of glue around all the cut edges really helped to seal my photo paper.
I watched another tuber do this first just a photo and the result was the ink ran, then she laminated the photo and it was ok I want todo this for my dog with her ashes it will be the first Time using resin so wish me luck 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉thank you Julie 🎉🎉🎉xxxxAnne uk
Hey Julie! It's really cute...losing our fur babies is so hard, what a sweet memorial. It doesn't have to be perfect, it's the thought that counts. She'll love it. Big hugs from Texas!😍😇
My heart goes out to your friend. I have a furbaby that I absolutely love and I dread the day I have to say goodbye. I love the mold and what you did for your friend.
Omg crazy cat lady here! I absolutely love this and I will be getting the cat mold. I usually put their whiskers and fur on their paw prints then cover with resin. This is a great idea! Thank you so much!! ❤🐾💙
I got some various small size paw print molds. I used pink for the toe beans and pads, then did ashes in the rest of the paw. I used some of the littlest ones as embeds in larger clear pieces with other effects like flowers etc. I did mix my birth moms ashes too, we all lived together, the kittens were born in our hall closet lol. My sister was put off by the thought, but everyone else liked them.
This was absolutely so very kind of you to do for your friend. When a person loses a family pet something like this is a comfort. It's something you will treasure forever. You really have a golden heart Chica. This is a beautiful resemblance of her beloved cat. May she find the Serenity she needs and the love her cat left in her heart. Very well done. This brought tears to my eyes, because it was a gesture of a kind and loving act to your friend and I respect you even more for your kindness ❤️. ❤🎉😊
I’m so sorry to hear about your friends Cat. I’m an animal lover myself. I used to have four Pomeranians. I’m down to one Shih Thu and a spoiled cat now I took him from a drunk. She kept falling on him so I went in one day and just took him. She never even called for her dad at least he’s alive and happy today spoiled rotten. I love what you’re doing for your Friend. You’re a good person. Can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m sure it’ll be beautiful like everything else you do.😊❤❤❤
As always a very instructive video, Julie. I love the cat mold, and had been wondering how best to incorporate a photo into some of my resin creations. So, now I know how to go about that. My condolences to your friend for the loss of her cat. Always so sad when we lose our little family members.
Aww it looks really good for a first try it really just needs the tilted head then it'll be perfect. Your friend's cat looks so much like my Charlie 🥺 you're such a good friend for wanting to make her a memorial 💗
Aww I love it. I lost 3 cats in the last year. I miss them all dearly. Some day I hope I'll be able to get into resin and get this mold and do this. I just love cats so much. Love this mold Julie. It turned out really good even if the face is a little bit off still looks good. Your friend will love it. I'm so sorry for her loss. Thanks for making a cat mold ❤
Lovely idea. About week and half ago lost my just shy of 20yr old fur baby. Been trying to think of something I can do with resin to leave where she was buried. And with photos and resin, it does very much depends on thickness and type of paper you're using. Photo graph paper is usually fine with just drizzling over with the resin. Was contemplating if laminating the photo would work... but I also wonder if it would shrink the photo
I think it would be more pleasing in an oval bubble...no contortions to the body to interfere with the photo..with the pearl micro in the back as you have here... it's really difficult to match the flat photo to a curved form... 🌿🌿🌿
❤ I understand using the picture, he is so adorable, RIP. But for myself I think maybe using the mica powder and tenting the inside of the mold might have given you a beautiful blond cat.. the empty ear space is what threw it off for me.. nice 1st attempt ❤

Thanks for showing this. you can also use sealants used for paper used in decoupage. This protects the image from glue and varnish.

Such a cute mold. I'm going to have to get this to go with your dog mold. 💗
I just did my first octopus ❤❤
Lol yes I agree!! Dog hair is a plus
I think he is so cute
Awe!!!! Love it
I did a Ferris wheel for my daughter with my granddaughters pictures.

Would painting the back of the picture first help then use a clear resin so your not seeing the back just a colour maybe to match the picture
Could you have painted the back of the cat? That is such a sweet idea. I feel for your friend, it hurts to lose a fur baby.😊❤
I was thinking it would look so cool with fur all on the back side, maybe a whisker or two.
I think it would be more pleasing in an oval bubble...no contortions to the body to interfere with the photo..with the pearl micro in the back as you have here... it's really difficult to match the flat photo to a curved form...
🌿🌿🌿
👍🏻Great!❤
I'd love one of my shizu dog..lol I'm sure I spelled it wrong 😂
One thing I want to know, after using the resin how to clean the brush, wooden stick, gloves or the container??? Please Julie Darling tell
It's the thought that counts. ❤❤❤ With a little tweaking it could be really cute. Currently, it is a little scary. 🤪
Question...the resin doesn't stick to the foam clay?
That is so cool. Can you make one for a dog?
Will laminating work? I haven’t tried it yet.
❤ I understand using the picture, he is so adorable, RIP. But for myself I think maybe using the mica powder and tenting the inside of the mold might have given you a beautiful blond cat.. the empty ear space is what threw it off for me.. nice 1st attempt ❤
You can easily "laminate" the picture with a large tape, like clear shipping tape.
Keep your puppy’s hair and have it spun and have jackets made for them out of the spun hair. 🥰
If you paint/coat the picture with resin before placing in the resin it should reduce or remove chances of bubbles being trapped under it.
Was the puppy ok? It seemed upset about something. Around 15:50
Bacana 😮😮😮😮
I watched someone put a piece of acetate and hot glue in place to do half of a skull I think it was. But that would work
😊
Paint spray sealer works easier.
Hot glue
The head is not straight lol. It's cute though
🥰💜💜
I'm sorry Julie...it's not a great project....I think it's the distortion that failed to thrill me :(
