I just love how Jim not only says the history of the promotions but I love it when he says the history of the wrestlers even if they were horrible, jobbers or hardly talked about.. Even when they mention the studium/arenas Jim even knows who went there and when.. Dude is a walking wrestling dictionary.. Need to do more documentaries involving Jim (Even if it's good or bad)

Angel Acevedo (Cuban Assassin) is Puerto Rican, not Cuban. Angel Peron and Chicky Peron are also Puerto Rican, better known in Puerto Rico as two of the greatest heels in Puerto Rican wrestling history: El Profe and Chicky Starr. El Profe wrestled his last match last weekend and Chicky Starr is surprisingly still active, after having life threatening health issues.

That last card featured Mr. Fuji, who was also working in WWWF at the time and was about to win the WWWF tag titles with Professor Toru Tanaka. Jim made a small mistake on that card: The Alaskan was NOT Jay York, it was his tag partner and kayfabe brother Mike York (real last name, I believe, O'Leary) teaming with Frank Monte that night. Jay had taken a sabbatical from wrestling to tour and record with Delaney & Bonnie as a percussionist. He didn't return to wrestling until the band broke up in, I think, 1973.

He's not sick. He's in for some sort of procedure. I'd guess a hip or knee replacement. But yes, prayers for a speedy recovery are called for, although he doesn't seem to be in immediate peril.

@@northofnashira2575 man....or women! When I hear of one of the all time greats and an email buddy of mine in the hospital, it's always usually bad! I am glad to know now that it's not as bad as I thought, but still too much news on the wrestling world losing people.

@GryHen-pg9iy James, his co-host, posted a short video on it a day or 2 ago. Doesn't say what it is exactly, but it was planned.

Nobody can ever say Dory Funk, Jr wasn't a draw. According to Jim he drew 25,000 people to Texas Stadium against Fritz 5 years before the stadium existed.

Texas Stadium opened in 1971, so that's legit. I think you're talking about the Kiniski match. Wikipedia also claims there was a 1961 show at Texas Stadium. More than likely, those two were actually at the Cotton Bowl.
