Fabulous plan Christine. I totally get the unexpected weight loss. Early perimenapause is kicking my butt in this area. But there is nothing I can do about it except for working out and eating healthy. I love your plans. Everyone will be so nice and cosy
You definitely deserve some sewing time for yourself! You are so right that the gifts will be appreciated whenever they are received. I've noticed that with my niece--whenever i make her something and send it just because, she almost seems to appreciate it more because she knows i was thinking of her and not doing it out of obligation.
Yes, that stress is self-induced because we want to do things - all of them! I'm slow at sewing and also don't have enough time to sew right now, so that can make me unhappy. The Myosotis dress is so pretty on you, and now you can relax and do other things. Love that French terry! Same thing with the heat - my husband takes blood thinners and is now the one who is cold - a complete reversal for us.
Thank you. I have had a couple of long sewing sessions with better focus since setting the project aside. Sooo close to finishing a new casual dress and then will work on both Lodo dresses.
Yay for freedom and no longer feeling stressed about your Frocktails outfit. You’re going to look and feel amazing in your beautiful dress! I’m excited to see and feel that Ponte when I see you. Marianne requested a navy suit for work and she asked if I could use ponte again because it’s so comfy to wear. The Southbank Sweater dress is going to be stunning in the French Terry!! That red waffle knit looks amazing you on and I think it definitely works with that Southbank Sweater dress fabric. Good plan!!
Minerva, Minerva, Minerva, just had to do that. Sometimes we create our own stress, and have to step back from it. The dresses you are taking with you to Charlotte are all wonderful. Loved you showing all the fabrics and i can see they all are perfect colors for you.
HI Christine. I love your waffle knit fabric; especially the "ketchup" color! I think the dress you plan on wearing to Frocktails looks fabulous. You don't need to stress about making a new one. I'm looking forward to seeing the hoodie you're making for your husband. My husband (Bryan) wants me to make him a shacket so I'm really interested in seeing men's makes. Take care, and see you at Frocktails!
I did not think I would enjoy sewing for Charlie as much as I do. I think one of the things I like about it is he is an easy model for a sewist to fit - but hard to get that great fit from the store. The stretch waffle knit is really nice. Can’t wait to talk all the sewing in a couple of weeks.
The Southbank and the red sweater look GREAT together. Glad you are allowing yourself some Grace with sewing “all the things”. Its supposed to be fun! Pressure ruins that fun. You will look beautiful at Frocktails!!❤
That dress will be perfect for Frocktails, plus you look fabulous and feel fabulous in it! Why give yourself the pressure of making a new dress or worrying about what to wear there. It will be all about the company not outdoing each other with me made garments ❤. Don’t forget you can sew PDAG dresses and donate them all year, they are always needed. X
I think sometimes I am my own worst enemy. I take on too much and don't leave time for what I want to sew. I'm trying to put in some fun sewing time for me in between the not so fun projects. It helps!
You will look fabulous in your dress for frocktails love the French Terry fabric imsure it will all turn out wonderfully love the video have a great week 😊😊😊
I have been having the same exact issue this year. I want to sew, but am not excited about sewing for myself because of my weight. It really started last year with all those failed wrap dress attempts and I haven't been able to shake it. It has really slowed down my productivity. I've moved on to other crafts for the time being. 🌸 I'm so jealous that you're going to Frocktails. I wish I was going! You are going to have so much fun!! 🌸 I love my Lodo! I need to make another 😊 🌸
Your Lodo really inspired me. I am glad that I found my happy sewing again. Even though I don’t love my Davenport, it fits well and the sewing was good so I did not have a total negative experience. I did need a little break, a little self kindness, and sewing something I loved.
I have the Olympia pattern by Love Notions that I have set to the side because the fit is not right. I've put on some weight and that definitely affects my fit! I love the top you have on.
Smart you Christine! You will look Fabulous!!
Thanks 💕

So true! I fixed my first Lodo and HUGE difference in how it looks. Cutting into my nice ponte now for next Lodo.

Very true. I am so excited to see everyone and I already have a newish dress I love.

I know what you mean! Right now I want something for me!
I'm sorry your Frocktail dress didn't turn out like you wanted; however, I love the dress you have picked out to wear. You'll look great!
Thanks Cynthia 💕

Thanks! I had so much relief when I let go of the Pleiades. Just letting go for a little while.
