    Do you think LeBron James was to blame for the Game 3 loss?

    • @shockjay
      @shockjay 7 років тому +13

      No, because I foresaw him running out of steam after that torrid first half. The Cavaliers played their A game, but the Warriors played their A+ game in the last few minutes of the game.

      Jason Roberts its not a Sprint its a marathon... You can't make that excuses. You are the leader of the Cavs so You need to close that deal. 11-0 in the last 3 minutes in your house? And ppl calling Him the G.O.A.T? what a joke.

      UNDISPUTED ON FS1 love broussard, but skip is completely right here. The man can finish at the basket, but if we're going to nitpick every play because we can barely find faults in his performance; let's be honest about it. If he had won any of the past three games, his performances could be ranked as some of the best in playoffs history.

    Got to agree with skip on this one. Lebron could easily close games, but he has a tendency to give up the ball. Last night, all he had to do at the end of the game was post up and he would have gotten fouled! Instead, he shot mid range fade aways and passed up the ball with a minute remaining. If you're the best player on the planet, you keep the ball and go score, no excuses. If he only he had a Kobe or Westbrook mentality to close out games.

      PhantomBoy yep. This is why he should be compared to magic Johnson. He's an upgraded version of magic. All time great facilitators and just all time great basketball players in general. But i don't want either of them with the ball in their hands in the last couple minutes of a game. Magic and Lebron have both had "clutch" moments and games but neither are clutch like Kobe or MJ was

      The right play would have been to use his superhuman strength and size and go to the rim. And what's with Kyrie stepping back for a tough 3? Does he think this is Game 7? That was last year. Horrible play.

    Lebron didn't show up in the clutch. Taking a terrible fade, going for a ill-advised three in the corner with 12 seconds left, missed a layup with klay checking him, not playing over on that screen with tristian when KD hit the 3, and ultimately not stepping up on KD on the dagger three. But specifically on that possession when he kicked it to korver in the corner instead of DRIVING TO THE RIM!!. It's not a bad pass, it was just unnecessary. You got draymond green checking you with 5 fouls. If you notice how draymond is positioned on defense, he's clearly giving lebron the right lane to the basket. If you're the best player in the world, and your team needs a bucket, you need to TAKE THE BALL TO THE RIM!! You have an opportunity to at the very least draw a foul on draymond and foul out the best defender on their team in the clutch. But instead he defers to korver in the corner. I'm sorry but lebron you have to TAKE THAT TO THE RIM!! If that was any other possession in any other quarter he would've drove that to the basket. It's something to be said about lebron's lack of assertiveness in the clutch. Just saying

      A Mean Green Steam Machine. Not to be biased man but Cleveland shot 25 free throws, Golden State had 24. There were missed calls from either side. Especially that KD foul on Love when he was shooting from the three point line and that late Iggy steal was a foul as well, he hit LBJ's wrists first before swatting the ball. But a loss is a loss, just don't spread misinformation.

  • @BruvahSulaiman
    @BruvahSulaiman 7 років тому +14

    After watching ESPN break down that play at 57sec left in the 4th.
    LeBron had a lane to the right of Draymond who had 5 fouls. He should've driven right no question.
    After he decided to go left instead Korver was actually open because Love was illegally screening Curry. But Korver drifted toward the baseline when he should've gone the other way and Curry did a spin around the screen along the baseline and contested it.
    If Korver had stayed still or moved in the other direction he would've been wide open.
    Bron made the right pass but prior to that he should've attacked Draymond.

I remember atleast 3-4 nice passes Bron had to teamates late in the 4th that they simply didnt make. If they did make them shots, Bron would be praised for excellent playmaking, great basketball iq, etc. But since they missed the shots, people say "ohhhh he doesnt have the killer mentality, ohhh he isnt clutch, etc. The fact is he always plays great in big-time games. He plays even better than he usually does. LeBron is an unstoppable force on both sides of the floor. What a performance he had last night. Kyrie as well killed it. The team blew the lead not LeBron.

      KingGolDragon Lebron was in a team with 3 other hall of famers and lost twice! How! And you can't get one game off GSW ? Last night you should of won if Lebron closed out but like always he chokes when they need him....where was he in the last 4 minutes?the only reason Lebron is in the finals is because he is in the east! Put him in the west he won't get out if round 2 Spurs and GSW will beat them easily! Jordan didn't face 4 all stars BUT he faced multiple teams with 2+ all stars ....Lebron is just facing one good team....while Jordan was facing good teams every round!

What they wouldn't love would be LeBron finishing the game going 5-16 after starting 10-11 and LeBron not having a fg the last 6 minutes of the game. In my opinion, the NBA should put up some new rules, such as : one team should only have a maximum of 3 all stars on their rosters, this way they can prevent having a super team such as the Warriors, which is a loaded talented team. The fact that the same two teams face each other 3 times in a row in the finals, shows how bad the NBA is bad in its stat, and underlines the fact that changes should occur. Its sad to see how easy the Warriors' path is towards the trophy, and how many "firepowers" , as LeBron said, they have on their roster, which is for some, an unstoppable force.

      Yugo Gugo ZERO points for him AND his teammates in the final three minutes of the fourth.
      Kobe and MJ would've never let that happen, they would've at least gone out with a fight in those three minutes and LeBron quite simply did not.
      LeBron played a great game but that doesn't matter if he can't close the game when it was literally right there for him to take it

      All you see is numbers. That's your problem. Let me give you some numbers. With the so called greatest player in the NBA during a NBA Finals game with the Cavs being down 2-0, the Warriors went on a 11-0 with 3:09 left in the 4th quarter and the Cavs were up. How does that happen? That's who people crowned as King?

    After that lebron comment with him sayin "I gave everything I had.... I was playing as hard as I could" I kinda feel bad. I've been rooting for this gsw sweep as a die hard warriors fan but I never expected him to sound defeated like that.

      steph scored 4 out of the 11 points they had in the run, and KD scored the 7 rest, and curry was getting mobbed by the cavs but got zero calls. lets not forget the 2 free throws he shot to ice the game? explain how he choked? him and KD accounted for 26 of the 29 points GS scored in the 4th, that ain't choking to me, that's coming up big

    LeBron and Kyrie were the only Cavs who showed up in Game 3, the rest of the team shot a combined 9 for 34 from the field. They played more minutes than anyone on the floor doing everything imaginable yet people still expect them to have all the energy left in the world to attack in the 4th quarter? And then they criticized for playing hero ball. LeBron is the only Cavs player to not have a bad game in this series so far yet people are questioning if he was solely to blame. It's ridiculous. Meanwhile, nobody seems to be reprimanding KD anymore for his move to Golden State.

    its weird because they keep talking about the mistakes the cavs made before durant hit the 3 point shot.... they talk about that shot like it ended the game. There were still 45 seconds on the clock after that and the cavs were within 1 with the clock in their favor,
    The 2 posessions the cavs had after durant made the shot were the biggest problem for me. irving wasted 18 seconds dribbling in one spot then settled for an elbow fade away from 24 feet with a guy in his face. absolutely a garbage possession. then with over 12 seconds left on the inbound- lebron immediately goes up to shoot a 3- rather than try to go right to the basket. he acted like they were down 7 points or something.

    GS wasn't TRYING to keep LBJ from scoring. Kerr said he told them to let LBJ and KI run and get theirs and by the end they'd be wiped. That was the GS strategy.
