Simba Tribute - On My Own

My tribute to my favorite character of all-time, Simba, the son of Mufasa and Sarabi, the best friend and mate of Nala, the nephew of Scar, the father of Kopa, Kiara and Kion and the current king of the Pride Lands. As a cub, Simba wanted to be the king of the Pride Lands just like his father, but when Scar killed Mufasa, he ran off into a desert where he nearly died, but was saved by Timon and Pumbaa. One day, he reunited with Nala, met Rafiki and was visited by Mufasa's ghost who convinced him to return to the Pride Lands to save it from Scar's rule. He also reunited with Sarabi. After defeating Scar, he became the new king of the Pride Lands and had children with Nala, Kopa (who's only in the book series, The Lion King: Six New Adventures), Kiara and Kion. He was very overprotective of his children due to what happened to him when he was a cub. He wasn't happy with Kion's choices of members for his Lion Guard at first, but when he saw them save Kiara and stop Janja's clan from killing an entire herd of gazelles, he accepted them as the new Lion Guard. One day, he and one of the members of Kion's Lion Guard, Bunga, bonded over being raised by Timon and Pumbaa. When Kovu saved Kiara, Simba didn't trust him and after the Outsiders ambushed him, he thought Kovu was aware of the ambush and exiled him. After Kiara and Kovu convinced the Pride Landers and Outsiders to stop fighting and join into one pride and Zira's death, Simba allowed the Outsiders to live in the Pride Lands again. One day, Kion and his Lion Guard returned to the Pride Lands, but soon returned to the Tree of Life after they and Vitani's Lion Guard had a competition to decide who got to protect the Pride Lands. Simba along with his family and many other Pride Landers attended Kion and Rani's wedding. Like many characters in the Lion King franchise, Simba went through some revisions. He was originally called Rego. He also had different children in early drafts of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Chaka (who was fully scrapped) and Aisha and Shani (both being previous versions of Kiara). He had other friends besides Nala in early drafts of The Lion King and in some books and comics, Bhati (a bat-eared fox), Daabi (a zebra who later hated lions including Simba after Sarabi almost killed his mother), Lemuta (an armadillo), Nala's brother, Mheetu, Tojo (a lion cub who found some abandoned bird eggs and raised the birds when they hatched) and Malka (a lion cub who got separated from his mother and became Simba's adopted brother for a brief time before reuniting with his mother). He also originally had aunts, Naanda (a previous iteration of Sarafina which would've resulted in Simba and Nala being cousins), Diku and Dwala. It was also mentioned in The Lion King: A Nature Fun and Learn Series that Sarabi has a sister who has a son named Mtoto.
