I really wish I knew more people that listen to Interpol, so they can relate with me on how Interpol makes me feel. Every time I listen to them it puts me in a certain mood and I can't quite describe it. It just calms me .I'm sure all the fans know what I mean.
yes!! to me they somehow sing the way that id describe my emotions. it feels so relatable and pauls voice is everything
I keep thinking with myself if all true fans of a certain band feel like this band transmit these feelings like Interpol does. Not the mood, but the "this complete me" feeling. But Interpol sure seems something else... if there is one thing I can say it's that I've never felt this way with any other band
@@Daniel_Bianco agreed. i wish i could see them live because i know it would be one of the best moment’s of my life
@@jupiterjazzybelle You will! I had the same wish, so last year I flew with my gf from São Paulo, in Brazil, to New York to see Interpol in Madison Square Garden. It was one of the happiest nights in my life! Seeing a guy screaming Obstacle 1 chorus in the street was also unforgetable. I hope that you accomplish this dream and have a magical show night someday

I have 2 kids. Lily and Claire that were kidnapped.
This is how post-punk feels like, that mystic, evil, perverse, serious and elegant feeling is what I mean
This is how post - punk die
are you serious?
um. is this allowed?
Well said
true, but what makes Interpol really great and what separates them from other bands in similar genres is that they are all such good musicians and compliment each other perfectly. Also, Kessler is a genius and writes the perfect intertwining guitar parts
Doc: you have a time machine but only can use it once
Me: ok Doc, take me to Cologne, 19 June 2003
"Stella Was A Diver and She Was Always Down" is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard!
Oh yeah
@@alibi489 Right on
@@michaelh1603 So good
Sorry to ruin the comment chain, but I totally agree. Less is more with these guys. The song is simple, but unroots such a relatable emotion within us all I'm sure. Interpol rules.
my favorite song
The bass man
The bass was half way of Interpol
world's sexiest rock band of all time
Carlos’ bass sounds so good here
I don't think this crowd is lame at all. You can see people vibing, each one with themselves, internally. I think Interpol has this kind of personal vibe
I agree. Wish I'm gonna perform for people like them every once in a while.
Totally agree, I feel like Interpol is a personal experience
That is a regular concert in Germany
I think it might also have been really hot, so maybe people didn't feel like dancing
Толпа должна хромать
I love how he kisses the mic at 12:54.
i'd give 1000 euros to see them in this period, first album was the shit!!!
i know, it kills me to say but after antics they really dropped with the quality, el pintor is decent but can't compare with the first two, especially the first which is a master piece of post punk :(
only a mere thou ? :p
Only €1k?
I will too. Delorian anyone.
No way. They evolved. I dont usually go with the whole 'The band developed " thing but they did. the S/T was so so but El Pintor was as good as 1 and 2.
the bass tone in this live is just incredible.
I just wrote the same comment! he's quite the player
Carlos is fantastic , not the same without him.
This is the best Interpol concert available online, I've come back to it at least 5 times, so fucking good.
I ALWAYS come back here every once in a while, you can tell by the number of comments I wrote here lol But c'mon, we're talking about the entire TOBL album plus Specialist (!!), full band including Carlos playing with their hearts. This video is very precious.
@@Daniel_Bianco Yeah they were all performed masterfully as well. When I get bored of the studio versions I can still come here and feel fully revitalized regarding this album. One of the best albums of all time in my opinion.
YES! All songs in this concert sound great. Paul’s voice is gold.
Have you the one in France? La Route Du Rock 2001. That live show was grand. The sound quality is better than this one
I tend to listen Interpol more in their live concerts than their studio album. I simply enjoy them more, they give me a more magical feeling melancholy and despair, which I love.
Paul is singing with his life! He looks so free and really enjoying the music ... just enjoying the moment! It was a great concert for all of the band 👏🏼🖤
he also doesn’t look drunk out of his mind, which was pretty normal for this period. Excellent stuff.
I still listen to TotBL when I'm trying to sleep. Just a perfect album.
one of the best of all time for sure
I do that too, but realize it's a mistake because I end up listening to the whole album from front to back instead of sleeping.
DUDE SAME I do that too for some reason
Antics is very good too, doesn’t get enough love
2004 Cleveland Ohio delicious concerr
He always took the time to speak with me, i liked him for that
Love that line

Untitled is such a beautiful intro
2003 is around the time i fell in love with this band. I used to plsy 'The New' to my daughter when she was in my belly and shes 20 in a few months (and an interpol fan) 😊
This album is a pristine piece of music. The guitar compositions are other-dimensional, the lyrics are thoughtful and hurtful and the entire vibe is artsy.
I think it’s because it’s very basic and simple. Very minimal.
@@josecarlosramos7007 minimalism for the win.

They make me wanna learn to play guitar, bass, and drums like no other band.
Lisbeth Arreaga I know how to play songs on bass guitar and drums. I can't play the same song on a different instrument but no matter what I play I'm glad I can play a song. I love playing PDA and Untitled on bass
These bass lines are pure gold to play !
I was made up when I could play this album from start to finish on guitar, bass and drums.
ive been spending so much time watching their performances from all throughout their career and this is truly a treasure
this is a FACT
basslines and drums are perfect. guitar is moody and catchy as hell. great lyrics and vocals are on point. solid 10 for me
it's crazy, every member of the band is a star on all of their songs. i can enjoy focusing on a different instrument literally every time i listen.
@@golddmane AGREE
If Daniel gave up his jacket, it means that it was really hot!
It's clear that he tried pretty hard lol the man held on for 35 minutes!
They're all dripping in sweat, must've been hella hot in there.
Best live concert of Interpol
+Fausto V Actually I think their show in Melbourne, Australia 2008 was very good, I went there and met Daniel backstage.
how lucky.......

вау, русскоговорящий?
sexiest band of all time, I recommend this album(Turn on the bright lights) in the bedroom ;)
Im 41 and all these years later I still listen to this show
I wonder if they knew at the time the masterpiece that they had created
knowing nyu heads they definitely did. those folks r always confident for good reason.
I keep coming back to this. I have an Interpol addiction.
These boys are athletes!
My hats off, all due respect!
Why is the audio in this 21 year old recording SOOOO much better than a festival performance I just watched that is from 2023. Also, Dengler needs to get back with this band. There's a certain flair and style he brings that "just a bass player" doesn't bring to the sound. It's saucy, sassy, and there are accents on certain notes that just aren't felt with the other couple guys they've had. Why can't everything just be perfect the way it was? Lol
this band makes me a little less suicidal. interpol has been helping me for four years now and i wish ive known them earlier. lifes still painful but at least with music like this i feel kind of understood, especially with the ones like stella
22:55 for the definitive live performance of one of the greatest songs of that decade. Period.
Cool cool
And the best is that PDA comes next
I completely agree
An album that opens with a guitar track like this, you know you are going to love it.
Clearly the crowd don't know how much a privilege it is to see such an amazing band in a small space. 🙌🏽
That bass in stella was a diver 🥺
"Its pretty hot in here man"
this is one of the most beautiful, charming and magical performances I’ve ever listened and watched…this album means so much to me.
My god "NYC" was such the indie rock anthem for winter time in New York 2002.
Those were the days
The bass on hands away, it completely changes the song.
paul's 'ooh-ing' face at 56:42 and 56:49 has me combusting internally in the middle of 2am right now
like a year later but same here
'Specialist' blows my mind away!!!! So great song!!!! 100% Interpol sound!
the debut album was incredible and still sounds amazingly fresh. very underrated band.
Underrated?!
I saw them in L.A in 2017 and they are still as good. I agree that Carlos does give a phenomenal taste to the Band but there's something beautiful about seeing them older. Cheers from San Diego:)
I saw them too last year in Guadalajara and they have a special vibration and feeling that night!!
Interpol's debut album is so damn good!!! They had a great run, really haven't been the same since Carlos quit the band....
Yep. He's one of my all time favorite bassists and his contributions really made a couple of those albums, especially Turn On The Bright Lights.
I love Antics just as much, but you're right after Carlos left it wasn't the same :/
I found that listening to Interpol cures my headaches!! Been doing this for years! Haha
I have deep respect for both The Strokes and Interpol. Sometimes , I wish I was born in New York.
Eyy im walking ere
Welcome to New York. It's been waiting for you. Welcome to New York! 😊
Top 3 live shows from Interpol. Would've killed to see this in person (I wasn't even born when this was recorded/performed lol) but they sound so passionate here. Defs in their prime for sure
I love how distinct the bass sounds in this
Me too!
never take this down please!
After some years this perfomance is the soul in the interpol music, please not listening alone to the 2 am
32:27 still one of my favorite all time jams.
Untitled is a masterpiece.
Turn On The Bright Lights is a masterpiece.
Untitled! my word...that bass
That PDA hits different here where you can actually hear the the keys synth!! Fuck its sounds beautiful, the only thing i did not like was at the point where carlos comes in tours the end you could not hear the bass as loud and clear, the way rhe sound engineers set this up was wonderful!!! Truly wonderful, you can acrually tell apart every single instrument the bass sounds good and the synths as well over all really good!!
I really love that eye lock that Paul and Carlos have around 33:05, it’s almost sweet and shows that there were times when they really did get along well
Magic to the ears, feast for the eyes.
This has such a beautiful version of NYC and the best version of specialist.
27:50 - 28:00 Just look at Carlos's style 😌
This has one of the best versions of Untitled I ever heard, damn it’s good
I've stopped telling others about them..You either get them and realise what a superb band and performers they are, along with the lyrical geniuses they are...Or you dont...Absolutely uniquely the pure form of perfectionist music...The deep undertones and honesty in their tracks are really so so so an unbelievable set of life's experiences and relatable stories
THIS. I dont even share it unless I know the person is intelligent and I secretly judge people who dont like them haha
I dig Interpol too, but I'm a little older and heard and saw the many Post-Punk bands they 'borrowed' from. Those bands did it better, and anyone who knows Post-Punk will tell you that Interpol is aping that exact sound and vibe.
Again, I like the band, but there isn't one thing this band does that is original and that isn't painstakingly contrived...They peaked early on. You have to admit that. They couldn't take the concept very far. "Perfectionist Music" this is NOT...
...oh, and every time I hear Daniel Kessler's silly vocals on the chorus of "PDA", I want to slap him. So fake and so incredibly bad. Will say that Sam Fogarino is a bad ass drummer, to be sure. "Lyrical Genius", though? C'mon...😂😂😂
You have sh** taste in music then...LOL that's not Interpol's problem. PDA is one of the best songs by Interpol, tf are you going on about? You sound like a h8ter,not someone who "digs" them in the slightest. I've never heard a "fan" spit so many insults in a comment before in my life. Interpol is amazing and music is often inspired by other music, go figure @@keithkoenig5320🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
@@keithkoenig5320Like they said, you either get it or you don’t.
This video is an essential part of my formative years
The breaks in this album along with Paul’s sexy voice make it such a hypnotic album.
To this day is still resent myself for not seeing live , I had the opportunity but I chose Bloc Party that same night . Damn if only ..
CARLOS: WHAT A BADASS!!!
Carlos and Sam were a fantastic rhythm section!!
One of the best to ever do it
Saw them again recently and they still had that magic!
I felt that vibe at the end of Roland
It’s like even the songs still sounded like brand new to the ear on their instruments and the way they’re playing in this performance. 🖤
man paul sang his heart out on "roland" and the others did such a good job on the instruments.. i love the live version
20:32 that's Interpol energy
I also need a time machine to join that live
Something about the atmosphere in this live…
A sweaty Interpol Live show is exactly what I needed right now
perv
Saw them in '05... the closest I'd probably ever get to know what a Joy Division must have felt like 25 years earlier.
The best Interpol live performance on UA-cam - that version of Stella… oh and Carlos was the dog’s bollocks
I love this music and the lyrics I can relate
They look so young! :) And yes, I still miss Carlos! Just as well they are still great!
My life since 2000.!Turn On The Bright Lights. My love
Love this super heavy bass Carlos
So beautiful
I am a guitar player but damn I would kill just to have that bass player In my band
Mee too! 😊
Erieee, dark and soulful but good rock
specialist has me in tears
Enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you!
This is awesome, beautiful, thank you 😘
Goddamn, perfect performance. TOTBL is an essential album. "Stella" live is crazy. Pissed I never saw them live.

the new is just ... wow, just an evil and mysterious song
Vintage Soda - MYSTERIOUS, not mysterious
Thank you SO MUCH ! This live in full HD was my dream for so long !
19:52 the voice of Paul gave me goosebumps fr
First two albums were fantastic. Carlos left. Game over.
You’re a god for keeping this on here. Thank you
love INTERPOL !! thank you for your passion!
I will always come back to this album at least once a week for the forseeable future and have been for so long...Like that one ex you can't seem to get away from because the sexx is too damn good but you know how it ends everytime :)
Wow, these guys had so much swag and such unique synchronicity back then, Carlos complemented that so well. The way they seemed to be enjoying this show is so evident in the way Paul looks at Carlos (minutes 33/34) almost like "I hate you but I love you, you badass... " 😢😅
Carlos Dengler is the best!
awesome! I hear him so clear-cut
this album is such a treasure. thx for posting
A whole different Paul...
Just read in a book that they rehearsed next door to The National before making it big and were already sporting those amazing suits
It blows my mind that humans created this! Wow they’re talented!!!
I know right
So good
The best album!!!❤
