There couldnt be a more stark difference between this band in 1981 and the band the drummer and the singer were in only 4 years before.I remember 1981 when there was Tenpole Tudor, Adam and the Ants but i never saw or heard of The Professionals except the cop show on itv

Rotten made the Pistols sound and is why all of their songs were great. Every band needs a great vocalist and The Pistols had one, like The Doors, Nirvana, AIC, Queen, etc. Their voice is the most important instrument.
In fact, the song was made for the movie wtith the "fictional" band called the looters. Cook and Jones called their "post-pistols" band after they made the movie.

I do like this but agree that this single was not their best. The subsequent album 'I Didn't See It Coming' definitely had their best material on it.
