Honestly it’s kind of helpful to see a “failed” eye look. Sometimes it seems like makeup influencers are able to get their makeup to look better than mine because maybe they just have better skin or something. It’s nice to be able to see the difference a bad formulation can make! I can’t imagine you want to do this same look again with these products, but it would be cool to see you do something where you use really good products on one eye and really bad products (or ones that just don’t work for you) on the other eye. Actually a full face of makeup like that would be really cool to see.

I love Ari, but I haven’t had interest in trying it. I’ve seen about 8 reviews on it and they were all pretty positive though. Her line is very basic, and I have all of these things already…. It’s like “whatever”
This is the first chapter or her collection, maybe she tried some safe products first. Just my opinion tho, I’m not sure. I’m a huge fan, but I’m not gonna buy everything only for that 😅

Ugh I’m so bored of every celebrity and their grandmother making a makeup line. The first time I saw it happen (with Fenty Beauty), it was exciting and novel. Now it’s like… more rare that a celebrity doesn’t have a makeup brand lolll
I agree, this is a very obvious cash grab on Ari's part, especially since it's through Morphe, who are a sussy. The only successful celebrity makeup brand where the products are actually GOOD is Fenty and Rare Beauty.

Fentys eyeshadows are not that great and the foundation on me was by far the worst foundation I've ever tried, it made my skin look super dry and flaky and I don't even have dry skin lol. And to make matters worse I picked a very light shade and I looked like a ghost but thats on me.Their mascara is bomb though. The worst part is that because people idolize Rihanna, when her line came out it was very hard to find an honest review and I got caught up in the hype. All and all fenty is decent for me but nothing life changing like people pretend it to be

I have to say I loved the lighting. It gave us a great insight on how things ACTUALLY look like. Even if you don't use filters in a room, natural lighting is much more realistic and also I found the changes of it quite aesthetically pleasing:)
One dead giveaway that the products are trash is when it looks like i did your makeup instead of you. Side note: i wonder how long before Almay sues AG for copying their palettes. LOL
I had to look it up LOL. Honestly Almay might have better eyeshadow. And I could definitely coupon it at CVS and get them darn near just a couple bucks. I love drugstore makeup. I had low expectations for this brand, and I’m not surprised it went how it did. Maybe the eyeliners need to be warmed up to use? I’ve known some kohl eyeliners need that, especially when you first open them.
I'm having flashbacks to the 80s and 90s, using a lighter to warm up/melt eyeliner. Fun fact, if you didn't let it cool enough you'd burn your lids and waterline 😱

Honestly I thought her products looked like cover girl and elf had a baby. Everything looked very drug store to me minus the cute packaging for the lipstick, nothing really pulled me in or made me want to try the products other than it being by Ariana grande.. But that’s not enough for me to buy it 😂

That deep sigh whilst applying the outer shade, we’ve all had those feels when our make up fucks up. Those chunks were so painful, looks like a cheap L’Oréal liquid eyeshadow
@@just2lovable I think it’s fairly decent. I’m sure it’s not the best, but pixie has the worst pigment. So L’Oréal has been the only one with enough for me to not have to use regular eyeshadow with it.
For no fault of your own, the eye look was ‘no bueno’. Prime example that artist talent will only go so far. Product quality does matter and as a grown woman, I am not buying makeup just because Ariana’s name is on it.
It can go really right when it's well done and there's real care and a purpose behind it (Fenty and inclusivity or Rare with disability friendliness), but it can also go really wrong when it's just clear that it's nothing but a cashgrab and a way to take advantage of an industry that moves a lot of money but is also already very saturated.
Every time I see the REM Eyeshadow palette, It reminds me straight away of the Almay palettes. Like they just look so similar: the size, the layout...I immediately think it's Almay, from the 1st time I saw it. I'm not impressed at all with REM Beauty.

I feel like this was just a cash grab honestly. It doesn’t seem like Ariana at all,when I think of her I think of fun and excitement and the brand just seems so bland. I’m not sure maybe my expectations are just higher because we’ve been so blessed with what we’ve seen from fenty and rare beauty.
something that might help with the lighting is if you put a white cloth over your window as a diffuser so that there isnt any direct sunlight but you still get the natural lighing effect. also super excited to see you try and recreate the makeup look with other products, hopefully it turns out more successful than this one lol
I really enjoyed watching this fail. Sounds crazy but we rarely get to see jacked up makeup on here lol. I'd love to see videos that show what you should do in these types of cases. Do you have to completely start over or is it salvageable
Whew!!!! The amount of anxiety this gave me is astronomical!!! Makeup shouldn't be painful!! Those eyeliners remind me of the waxy ass, old school, circa 1980, CoverGirl liners. When I was in high school, I melted the end of it with a lighter to be able to use it😂😂😂
I just watched an in depth video from a smaller YTer (Sarah Jo) who HATED the line and it was so bad she brought a friend in to verify that she wasn’t being over the top. This stuff not only looks like Claire’a makeup, I guess it performs like it, too. I haven’t seen this epic of a product fail in a looong time! Those eyeliners…it reminds me of when we used to buy the Wet N Wild 99 cent eyeliners back in junior high and had to flick the flame from a lighter over it to get it to perform. Ouch.
My fav thing to do with mascaras I can’t return but enjoy the wand is to clean the top component and dip into a drugstore waterproof formula. Honestly sometimes I will even leave them screwed on the mismatched bottle if it fits 🤷🏼♀️ Not the cutest but that way I can participate in the cool wand variations of normal mascaras!
i really like the natural lighting! it’s more realistic since that’s how i do my makeup, most of us don’t have ring lights to get ready for the day or play around with makeup

Thus why I was so impressed with Halsey’s. That said, she has been doing her own makeup for performances for years so she understands how it should perform. Maybe because AG has been getting made up by a team since infancy, she actually doesn’t know anything about formulas or application. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m feeling generous.

The lipstick looks so streaky, maybe the colour, but I can see it bulking up in certain spots. And those liquid shadows, when you put the light one over the copper toned one, it was picking up the copper one and was mixing in and made it so patchy. It almost looks scaly in texture. I couldn’t watch you put the liner in your water line, I was cringing so hard at how rough you had to be to put it on and it still didn’t work great. Also I like the natural light!
The kohl liner absolutely sucks but the Eyeliner Marker is AMAZING honestly and my new holy grail. The formula is the first I’ve tried that doesn’t budge all day even with my oily and sweaty lids but comes off easily with cleansing balm and the super fine tip of the felt tip makes precision really nice. HOWEVER, it does skip a lot. I hope she comes out with a different tip. Just FYI lol.

The products do seem difficult to work with, so it definitely wasn't you. But, even with difficult products you managed to create a gorgeous eye look. I think it's stunning. It speaks volumes about your inherent talent, that you can make products that aren't easy to use work, and create a fabulous look with them.

idk i got a bunch of products from r.e.m beauty and they were all fantastic lol but it was just an initial launch so maybe that’s why there’s some inconsistency in the products.
She has the best quality and most successful celebrity fragrance line ever overtaking all other celebrity lines combined (who all started their lines years before she did) so it would be silly and unfair for anyone to assume that her makeup brand would be bad. It is not. Many reviewers are saying that some of the products are excellent (lipsticks, highlighters, eye liner pen, lashes, lip glosses, eyeshadow palettes etc). Let's watch this space to see what she does in the future with this line, before dismissing this new enterprise altogether.

Huge Arianator, currently waiting on my order, and now have a reference on the do’s and don’t’s - so thank you. BUT brands aside, all I know is that the white liner on the bottom inner lower lash line with the brown under it looks sick and sultry af…I can’t stop staring at the effect it has on your eyes. Def gonna try that soon! (Lid liner is fire too, but I don’t have the coordination to even think about trying it 😅)
I love the natural light i definitely see more on the video but if it throws you off - you do what you prefer. As far as REM it seems like 90s drugstore makeup not what Ariana presumably wanted it to feel like.

This brand was floppy, I understand she has more chapters but that doesn’t mean her first chapter was like a ‘trial’. It’s an official part of the brand, and so will the rest of the products be. With her influence and the hype she got her fans and buyers deserved better. It’s a rip off of Claire’s tbh. I see some similarities in Almay’s products. Didn’t even know that brand before but now that I do it rlly does make sense.
Honestly I almost skipped this one bc I had no intention on trying her line anyways, but I always learn something from you. I’m forever grateful I watched! Seriously thought I was some kind of stupid with my eyeliner application. For the life of me I couldn’t apply to my waterline much less pull off a wing. I never knew what to look for in eyeliner to know for sure that it wasn’t user error and watching you struggle around minute 5-6 it all just made sense. Thanks for doing what you do 💛

I have to say I loved the lighting. It gave us a great insight on how things ACTUALLY look like. Even if you don't use filters in a room, natural lighting is much more realistic and also I found the changes of it quite aesthetically pleasing:)
One dead giveaway that the products are trash is when it looks like i did your makeup instead of you. Side note: i wonder how long before Almay sues AG for copying their palettes. LOL
I had to look it up LOL. Honestly Almay might have better eyeshadow. And I could definitely coupon it at CVS and get them darn near just a couple bucks. I love drugstore makeup. And I can't see spending anymore money on a high-end product. Not unless there's something magical out there that I haven't tried yet that's high-end then please let me know LOL

I'm having flashbacks to the 80s and 90s, using a lighter to warm up/melt eyeliner. Fun fact, if you didn't let it cool enough you'd burn your lids and waterline 😱

Everything looked very drug store to me minus the cute packaging for the lipstick, nothing really pulled me in or made me want to try the products other than it being by Ariana grande.. @@just2lovable I think it’s fairly decent. I’m sure it’s not the best, but pixie has the worst pigment. So L’Oréal has been the only one with enough for me to not have to use regular eyeshadow with it.
For no fault of your own, the eye look was ‘no bueno’. Prime example that artist talent will only go so far. Product quality does matter and as a grown woman, I am not buying makeup just because Ariana’s name is on it.

It can go really right when it's well done and there's real care and a purpose behind it (Fenty and inclusivity or Rare with disability friendliness), but it can also go really wrong when it's just clear that it's nothing but a cashgrab and a way to take advantage of an industry that moves a lot of money but is also already very saturated.
Every time I see the REM Eyeshadow palette, It reminds me straight away of the Almay palettes. Like they just look so similar: the size, the layout...I immediately think it's Almay, from the 1st time I saw it. I'm not impressed at all with REM Beauty.

I feel like this was just a cash grab honestly. It doesn’t seem like Ariana at all,when I think of her I think of fun and excitement and the brand just seems so bland. I’m not sure maybe my expectations are just higher because we’ve been so blessed with what we’ve seen from fenty and rare beauty.

something that might help with the lighting is if you put a white cloth over your window as a diffuser so that there isnt any direct sunlight but you still get the natural lighing effect.
also super excited to see you try and recreate the makeup look with other products, hopefully it turns out more successful than this one lol
I really enjoyed watching this fail. Sounds crazy but we rarely get to see jacked up makeup on here lol. I'd love to see videos that show what you should do in these types of cases. Do you have to completely start over or is it salvageable
Whew!!!! The amount of anxiety this gave me is astronomical!!! Makeup shouldn't be painful!! Those eyeliners remind me of the waxy ass, old school, circa 1980, CoverGirl liners. When I was in high school, I melted the end of it with a lighter to be able to use it😂😂😂
I just watched an in depth video from a smaller YTer (Sarah Jo) who HATED the line and it was so bad she brought a friend in to verify that she wasn’t being over the top. This stuff not only looks like Claire’a makeup, I guess it performs like it, too. I haven’t seen this epic of a product fail in a looong time! Those eyeliners…it reminds me of when we used to buy the Wet N Wild 99 cent eyeliners back in junior high and had to flick the flame from a lighter over it to get it to perform. Ouch.

My fav thing to do with mascaras I can’t return but enjoy the wand is to clean the top component and dip into a drugstore waterproof formula. Honestly sometimes I will even leave them screwed on the mismatched bottle if it fits 🤷🏼♀️ Not the cutest but that way I can participate in the cool wand variations of normal mascaras!

i really like the natural lighting! it’s more realistic since that’s how i do my makeup, most of us don’t have ring lights to get ready for the day or play around with makeup

Rare beauty is apparently pretty good for a celeb making it and fenty as well.
Thus why I was so impressed with Halsey’s. That said, she has been doing her own makeup for performances for years so she understands how it should perform. Maybe because AG has been getting made up by a team since infancy, she actually doesn’t know anything about formulas or application. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m feeling generous.

The lipstick looks so streaky, maybe the colour, but I can see it bulking up in certain spots. And those liquid shadows, when you put the light one over the copper toned one, it was picking up the copper one and was mixing in and made it so patchy. It almost looks scaly in texture. I couldn’t watch you put the liner in your water line, I was cringing so hard at how rough you had to be to put it on and it still didn’t work great.
Also I like the natural light!

The kohl liner absolutely sucks but the Eyeliner Marker is AMAZING honestly and my new holy grail. The formula is the first I’ve tried that doesn’t budge all day even with my oily and sweaty lids but comes off easily with cleansing balm and the super fine tip of the felt tip makes precision really nice. HOWEVER, it does skip a lot. I hope she comes out with a different tip. Just FYI lol.

It speaks volumes about your inherent talent, that you can make products that aren't easy to use work, and create a fabulous look with them.

idk i got a bunch of products from r.e.m beauty and they were all fantastic lol but it was just an initial launch so maybe that’s why there’s some inconsistency in the products.

She has the best quality and most successful celebrity fragrance line ever overtaking all other celebrity lines combined (who all started their lines years before she did) so it would be silly and unfair for anyone to assume that her makeup brand would be bad. It is not. Many reviewers are saying that some of the products are excellent (lipsticks, highlighters, eye liner pen, lashes, lip glosses, eyeshadow palettes etc). Let's watch this space to see what she does in the future with this line, before dismissing this new enterprise altogether.

BUT brands aside, all I know is that the white liner on the bottom inner lower lash line with the brown under it looks sick and sultry af…I can’t stop staring at the effect it has on your eyes. Def gonna try that soon! (Lid liner is fire too, but I don’t have the coordination to even think about trying it 😅)
I love the natural light i definitely see more on the video but if it throws you off - you do what you prefer. As far as REM it seems like 90s drugstore makeup not what Ariana presumably wanted it to feel like.

So, you have a celebrity name, and you want to make some extra bucks. You find a cheap lab, create ? a product out of the cheapest stock, and push it on the market with a high price. The only trouble is: the quality will show immediately.

This brand was floppy, I understand she has more chapters but that doesn’t mean her first chapter was like a ‘trial’. It’s an official part of the brand, and so will the rest of the products be. With her influence and the hype she got her fans and buyers deserved better. It’s a rip off of Claire’s tbh. I see some similarities in Almay’s products. Didn’t even know that brand before but now that I do it rlly does make sense.
Honestly I almost skipped this one bc I had no intention on trying her line anyways, but I always learn something from you. I’m forever grateful I watched! Seriously thought I was some kind of stupid with my eyeliner application. For the life of me I couldn’t apply to my waterline much less pull off a wing. I never knew what to look for in eyeliner to know for sure that it wasn’t user error and watching you struggle around minute 5-6 it all just made sense. Thanks for doing what you do 💛
