Love this topic so much, love your conversation and love your screen free parenting. My son is five yo and he doesn’t touch our phones except FaceTime with grandparents. I am totally with you.

I live with my Mom and she gives my 6 year old a phone to watch cartoons.I asked million of times to stop this. But no.She feeds her with the phone. My daughter refuses to eat by herself. Now I am the bad one.I don't give her a phone and all she thinks and asks about is about sweets and a screen.I am going crazy. It all went the wrong way...I can't send my Mom away and the way all is developing is destroying the whole pattern of how I see raising my kids.

Olga I have a similar problem. Does your mom live with you or do you live with your mom? Don’t allow your mother to take care of your daughter. If she watches her for you find another babysitter and tell your mother you are sorry but she can’t be trusted to follow your rules with your daughter so she isn’t allowed alone with her. Explain to your mom that she is teaching your daughter to lie to you and go behind your back so she is setting your daughter up to be susceptible to drugs, alcohol and sexual advances in the future. You have to set boundaries. Also if your mother watches your daughter as payment for living with you. Information her if she can’t be trusted to follow your guidance as a sitter she will need to find another way to pay her share. Respect goes both ways if your mother cannot respect you as a mother it will only be toxic for all involved. I’m so sorry I feel your pain.

As your mom sees it, her place, her rules. Get your own place, problem solved.

Omg all the things are so true, I have 3yr old on a 1st to 2nd grade level, it scares me how fast she picks up on things, she can spell and do math better than the average 1st grader and knows the true meaning of words and how to demonstrate them, people think that something may not be quite right about her, but she’s absolutely fine, before she turned 1ys old, she could identity all alphabets and numbers 1-20 but couldn’t verbally speak then started saying them but couldn’t verbally communicate anything else other that mama, 🤷🏽‍♀️then she started talking and she use words that college level students would use, and she pronounce her words correctly the average 3yr old can’t do that at that stage all L’s and R’s sounds.

Human brain takes information and then after has to digest it. But with 6-8 hours of screen they just taking information and not digesting it. This way brain just quits on this function. Consequently they become ‘dumb’.
Sorry not fluent in English. Hope you got my idea
