I hope everyone listening understands that Mrs. Toni is trying to get you to understand the BUSINESS of UA-cam. You attract an audience by understanding who you're talking to, what you want from them, and what they come to your content to get from you. Casting a wide net in the middle of the ocean hoping to catch some fish is vastly different from going to a specific spot in that same ocean where the specific fish you're trying to catch are and getting them to jump in your boat. That's the difference between not having a specific plan and having one.

POSTING SHORTS ON FAILED LONG FORM VIDEO CHANNEL?
I have many videos that I made in the mid/early 90's that I have posted on youtube. The channel has been up for over ten years. The content is "man on the street" interviews that I did. The goal was to be funny, and engage those who I interviewed, creating entertaining content. I had some fans and some videos got like 50k views, which I know is nothing. It was before, and somewhat like the show "Billy On The Street" which was successful. Then I got a lot of comments like "this is from the 90's" and it seemed to detract from the value of the video. Ultimately the channel never went anywhere.
I've read and be told that now there has been a resurgence of 90's Nostolgia on UA-cam shorts and Tik Tok, and I've seen a resurgence of "man on the street" videos, and a lot containing sexual humor. Those are like my videos.
My question is: Should I start a new channel and start fresh. I would be posting segments of most of the clips that are already on my older channel in long form. Should I create a new channel for the shorts so it doesn't seem like they link back to a channel with old videos that don't have extensive views.
On one hand, if viewers like the shorts it would stand to reason they would click the link to see more.
On the other hand, for a variety of very common reasons, the original videos never took off. So it could hinder the newly created shorts I am posting.
Perhaps if I cut them into 1 min. clips, they would be more appealing.
Also, do you agree that there is and has been a 90's nostalgia going on now?
If you want to see original clips from my youtube channel, just ask and I will post them.
    All input is greatly appreciated.

The thing to do is to try it. Experiment! I don’t know if 90s content is popular now. Maybe you can create new content reacting to your 90s content.
