It's sad that the railroad couldn't have been greater. You can still see the faint scar where it once ran across the state if you look hard enough. There are other remains such as the white river bridge in the video, the charcoal gap tunnel, leatherwood creek trestle right by charcoal gap in the video, railroad ties and spikes and a bridge that was converted to a road bridge. Someone I've talked to says that there are still Telegraph poles in the woods by charcoal gap. I do know there are stone walls lining the right of way approaching charcoal gap tunnel. I highly recommend looking at the M&NA railroad map. It will help you find where it ran easier by the towns it went through.
This bridge can be seen in use in the 1982 CBS Civil War mini series "The Blue & The Gray".
