Crazy to me every bike you have owned and kept for a short period of time they have blew up. Yet you still run the lectron
Idk lectron always seem to have a lean sound, idk if it’s me but it sounds lean, could be the reason she blew last time

I hear this all the time and from a lot of people. They allways say they cause detonation or some other thing that causes the bike to run bad.
I agree, and the lectrons are nice I guess, but I have a opinion that you go through the “trouble” of tubing a traditional carb and get it running right instead of trusting a “smart carb” and risking your top end getting too hot

Make it run a little rich ur gonna blow this one up again those things aren’t ready out the box
I don't ride dirt bikes so I don't really know but the 2 strokes look so much more fun to ride than the 4 strokes.

FYI kawis are known to ping if you don't run some race gas! Even if you mix it with 93 it's definitely a way better bike with some race gas

friend, how can you put the lectron on it... what do you do with the sensors that the original carburetor brings and with the harness sockets... I have a kx250 99 and I would like to do the same
Bro your crank sounded like it was knocking when you first started it 😅 sounded like my 250 crank with 180 hours before it rebuilt it idk if that was just me but when I rebuilt mine I didn’t have that sound after you could have bad crank now after seizing it I was always told if you blow it up and have major problem do the bottom end because you spend hundreds on fixing topend and piston kit and gaskets but it could be good but watch it blow and you will be bummed

I tested the whole myth around lectrons being to lean and being the cause of below average piston life. I used 3 yz250s that have the same engines. They all gave the same mods same gas etc etc one bike had a lectron one had a air stryker one had a smart carb and I rode each bike till it legit blew up the last one fuckin hurt BTW lmao but the first to blow was the lectron second to blow was the air stryker 3rd to blow was the smart carb and I actually got some crazy hrs out of the smart carb and the lectron I only got 17hrs before she popped

Kx250 was pretty much top dog in the 90s they started loosing steam after 2000 as the competition kicked up

Everything on the stock package is r&d they got from Carmichael 01 and Ezra Lusk 03, wich by the time of 04 when Stewart came along they released their best two stroke bike that ever came out of Kawasaki, now stock is different from factory, but the base package is solid, and for its time way ahead.
Now as always one have to set it up in specific. Suzuki and Kawasaki threw all they had into their 05’s.
But yes, its subjective but one can 2 million things to alter a bike so its quite unfair to base anything stock as almost no one runs pure stock anyway.

What ratio are you running on your mix? Should be running 32:1 factory recommended. It’s a 2 smoke you should be smoking. Your lean like a mf
