There is error in facts of that video: 1939-1940 winter war agains soviet uniin (russia), continuation war 1941-1945 against Russia and war of Lapland 1945 agains Nazi Germany
@@Blessing_Reacts That was a very huge error causing huge emotions. 😖 That's because Germany was our partner in the continuation war and played a crucial role in it.
Regarding history, the Swedish kings started to expand to Finland in the 12th century and from the southwest. the area around present day Turku, the Swedish rule spread over the coming centuries to all of what is now Finland. Turku is Finland's oldest city and is considered to have been founded by the Swedes in 1229, when it was first officially mentioned in a letter from the pope Gregorius IX. You can't really call it a Swedish invasion, because there was no Finnish nation at that time, only small villages and settlements here and there. So technically Finnish history is Swedish history from the 12th century to 1809, when Russia took Finland from Sweden. And because of this joint history, the Finnish society is mostly based on how things were done in Sweden and ties between our two countries are still very close.
This guy puts out some of the most generic stuff I have ever seen. He did AI media before AI, it seems. So many errors, it is not even funny. The Swedish flag is much older that the 1900's, it is just that it changed colors slightly to a lighter set than what it had previously - this was done after the union with Norway ended. Finland was about 1/3 of the Swedish Kingdom for 6-700 years - they did not exist as a country at all until they fought tooth and nail to get free from Russia in the early 1900's. Our Finnish brothers have come so far in just little more than 100 years - proud to share history with them!
there are much more finns in sweden than swedes in finland (in relative numbers too) yet finland has to accomodate for all the needs of swedes and keep their tiny minority as some kind of an important piece of our totem pole, but in sweden everyone is just completely apathetic or ignorant to the presence of finns.
@@Qsen123 Well, that is quite obvious and understandable, we (Finns) were part of Sweden previously, their kings were ours and so on, we are younger as a nation and Sweds are influenced greatly to our national identity. When russia took Baltics, the people we historically belonged to, Sweds sort of adopted us - people were talking about Fennoscandia which were our place in this world - pure imagination and copium bs ;D
That video has everything wrong. So much wrong information it makes me sad. This guy should learn history before making a video about our history. I am mad.

The source video has some incorrect stuff on it, for example the wars.
Ohhh i didn’t know thank you for highlighting that

Here's a song for you to react to: Willow - symptom of life

That is because Finns had always felt some sort of loyalty toward to Sweden, due the history.
@@puhistagram true and sadly Sweden has not felt the same since Finnish independence.

Swedish speaking minority in Finland are not Swedes. The fact that they speak Swedish does not make them Swedes.
@@sijaltainen I'm specifically talking about ethnic swedes. Also these finns you are talking about often have more swedish blood than finnish.

Området Finland har varit svenskt längre tid än Finland varit eget land.
