Looking at this almost 11 years later as its creator, I'm almost tempted to pull a George Lucas on this and go back to re-edit it, even if hardly anyone would ever notice. There are way too many multi-layer cross-fade fiascos in there. To make matters worse, I also missed some key scenes of the two characters in my selection, like the ill-fated kiss in the mine from the first season. Instead I randomly strung together a bunch of super cute albeit dramaturgically irrelevant moments of intimacy and made myself look like a teenage fangirl in the process, which is rather unfortunate for more than one reason. Bloody hell, what was I thinking? I still remember, though. I made this when I was still in the process of moving to a new place for the first time in my life, basically being forced to leave the only place I had ever considered home. I was sleeping on an old worn-out mattress on the floor of a largely unfurnished and deeply unfamiliar room. My desk, conveniently placed right next to the mattress, was made out of paint buckets and flat but sufficiently sturdy cardboard. My computer was kind of crappy, for which perhaps its user may in part be blamed, and aforementioned creative decisions of questionable nature aside, I found myself wrestling with glitches and stuttering in my editing software all the time. I remained constantly frustrated, yet undeterred. And frankly, those were some bleary-eyed nighttime hours I would not have wanted to spend any other way. With a young and disoriented life seemingly in shambles, I momentarily focused my anger and frustration on the cancellation of a cherished TV show instead of the immediate circumstances of my own life, and somehow managed to turn that into something creative. My thanks to the people behind Everwood, the 187,000 clicks on this wonderful, crappy little video of my former self and the 11 people up there who apparently agree with me. James Blunt, on the other hand, obviously owes me a truckload of gratitude. Where do you think he would be without my video featuring this utterly obscure song of his? Never got so much as a postcard from the bugger. Unbelievable. 11 years ago. Man. Moment of Memories, indeed.
Oh, my goodness! A wonderful, witty, incredibly intelligent piece of writing on UA-cam. It reads almost like an Ephram Brown soliloquy. What a tribute (the video AND the comments) to the towering achievement that was Everwood. Its writers and creators would be proud.

It’s about that one specific moment in the storyline, seen here in both the intro and the outro, in which Ephram realizes what he has lost. At that point in time, they are in fact not living happily ever after. Furthermore, I created the video when the finale of Everwood hadn’t even aired yet. I quite simply was inspired by that scene.
