The Child is 11 year old Brandon Niederauer "TAZ". I mentioned him a few months back to a friend and I wrote on Twitter that George Clinton need to pick this kid up and bring him into the FUNK. To see him on stage, is beautiful and a chance of a lifetime for young Brandon. GOD Bless his future, and also with in the FUNK!
A former housemate of mine used to work at a Kroger in Midtown, Atlanta. One night George Clinton came in, got some things, and came to check out. My friend asked, "'Scuse me, are you George Clinton?" George chuckled and said, "Well,...I'm spending his money!"
My journey to getting funked-up began in 1969 when my teenage cousins had Funkadelics 1st lp simply titled 'Funkadelic'. Will always recall looking at the front and back cover of the black woman with the big afro buried up to her neck and then her skull on the flipside every time I visited them. The first time I heard the lyric, "which one is George Clinton" was from the song 'Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenemasquad (the doo doo chasers)'on the B side of One Nation Under a Groove. First concert I saw Pfunk was 1976 during the Pfunk Earth Tour at 18yo. For me, being indoctrinated by the was one of the best things that ever happened to me and wouldn't trade my experiences for anything this world could possibly offer. As Bootsy Collins says, "Funk on Bobba"!
Not quite my OldSkool PFunk All Stars but it was cool to see the Funkadelic guitar army at 107:50 when Michael Hampton, Rick Rouse, Blackbird McKnight, and Garrett Shider came to the front of the stage for the Knee Deep solo.
Tight concert with plenty of friends. Glad george is mixing the new music with the old. George you have to give us a little of dejayesterday with the new
I was there as well and hanging with the band. She was not lip singing but singing to a backing track. She is singing as well. you are hearing both her and the backing track
Garry passed nearly 5 years ago now. His look alike son Garrett is out there with the All Stars and he is holding down the rythm and vocals...minus the diaper though. Lol
No...73 isn't but GC has been funkin so hard for 6 decades now. I use old man in a respectable way because the road has worn out countless artists a 3rd his age. Dr. Funkenstein keeps cloning himself and keeps going.
Blown away with the show they did in Albuquerque last month. Does anyone know the name of the song that starts around 9:00? We were about three heads from the very front and really enjoy how all the members seem to make eye contact with the crowd, being sure we are having a funky time!
Charles 91771 THINK SO? HAVE YET TO SEE THEM, I KEEP TELLING RAZOR THEY NEED TO GET THEY FUNKY BEHINDS UP TO DEEP-TROIT! KASH, RAZOR AND BLACKBYRD WERE WITH GEORGE, NOW BLACKBYRD IS PLAYING WITH GEORGE THIS TOUR
Yeah Funkadelic thing going a little bit to one commercial living I miss the days when they was underground psychedelic Roxul from to commercial not enough guitar is the old school Funkadelic it's gone
The sound guy was horrible. I thought it would get better as they might have been still dialing in, but it never got better. Doesnt sound any better here on UA-cam.
Wow..kinda sloppy and all over the place without Shider...Kim Manning..again..really?..11 year old entry level guitarist? Such a sad lineup these days. Devoid....
