Great video premise! As you explained, Walking Dead/Zombies are typically quite underwhelming, but It'll be very interesting to see them in action. New sub here! :)
+TheKnownWorld Thank you! it's kinda funny seeing you comment like that when I know I learned about half of what I know from binge watching yours and Chris' vids, haha. I'm one of your subscribers :)
Norovo Oh, I didn't realize that you're already subbed to me! I'm glad that my videos have been of some use to you in developing your strategies. It might seem rather bizarre for me to be commenting, but at the end of the day I'm as much a viewer as I am a content-creator. Consequently, I'm always on the lookout for quality Heroes III videos as well. ;) You've done a great job with the commentary and explaining your moves through. Also, for all the games of Heroes III I've played, I've never had the guts to attempt something as crazy as a Zombie powerstack, so I find this to be a lovely change in approaching the map. Keep up the good work!
Hey, MeKick, nice to see You there, especialy in case that I got there from Your video through the YT recomendations! I guess, world is short, especialy for UA-cam HoMM 3 community. :D
I love how energetic and positive you were during this very first _Heroes III_ series. Like, the excitement in your voice is _energizing!_ And you know what? You haven't lost that energy over the years. (:
It is really interesting how he gets better in the game by the years. I love how he is afraid of things that in later years he would cut through like butter... I think that he should do a retrospective, analysing some of his older playthroughs, that would be fun!
Used to play this game in between classes. Necropolis is my favorite faction, I frequently leave my zombies back at base but they are great meat shields early.
By the way, the expert difficulty that you chose has the effect to reduce your resources and increase the AI resources. I think it also increases their skill a bit. But impossible FTW!!! I like starting with no resources :D
If their other hero is currently inside the city then if you fight the hero standing there it shouldn't count as a siege battle so you won't have to deal with the towers if I'm not mistaken. It has been a while though since I played 3.
I wish I could go back to enjoying this game like I used to. However after playing Heroes 5 I enjoyed having my hero being able to fight as well as cast spells way too enjoyable and useful. Watching this part makes me miss it a lot. It would have let you fight the golems more comfortably. I know some people wouldn't enjoy that mechanic but personally I loved my hero fighting so when I last played Heroes 3 I spent the entire time wishing I could have my hero attack... The same with having turn order bar at the bottom of the screen to say which creature / hero can move for a good amount of planning. Also not having the estimates of how many of the enemy will die if I attack is another thing I struggled to let go (it does say damage and you can do maths, but I'm used to it being told to me and don't enjoy maths myself~). Those things would have made Heroes 3 way better for me since I like being given the helpful information to plan with in a convenient way. if they thought of doing it back when they made the game. It's a shame Heroes 5 had some bullshit design and didn't have much skirmish variety since things like heroes "ultimate abilities" not being told in-game and requiring luck with level ups even if you know what you need is something I never enjoyed. It will be good for me to watch you play it at least, it might interest me enough to try it again. Also you seem nice and informative so will check out some of your other videos since you seem good to watch.
+Ragnarokia NG I've only played about 2 hours of Heroes 5 but I have to say knowing which order creatures will go in and being able to use the hero for something other than spells were both things I immediately liked. Glad you enjoyed the vid.
The Angels aren't human. They are humanoid androids created by the Ancients to protect Colony (the official name of the planet from Heroes I-III), similar to Corak and Sheltem (major NPCs from the Might & Magic RPGs). They show up as Angels because that's an easier concept for the civilizations of Erathia to comprehend. I'm serious.
Zombies weak? No way! They are absolutely perfect! Just look at them! Yes i know they don't pack the biggest punch but they can take a hit. Their weakness makes the enemy ai mostly not prioritize them as a target and they are so slow they won't ever make it into a fight to begin with. These guys just won't die! Well yes thats because everythings dead before they got there and start dealing some damage but hey, at least not dead. again. And then they start to pile up and you have like a few hundred of them in your army....and there madness begins. Now they are strong enough to be a priority taarget for the enemies long range units which means they won't shoot at your long range guys and when they are needed they obliterate everything because of their masses. Okay nevermind they are quite pathetic. Like really pathetic. Funny though.
Do you delete comments?? I noticed there was this guy being an asshole half an hour ago and i come back to finish this video and i realized it wasn't even there anymore.
Haha yeah I might have :P my view is that if people don't enjoy my video they can go elsewhere rather than being disrespectful. Overall though I'm really pleased with people's response to this.
This is a legendary game. No need to apologize or make excuses for anything, upload, upload, upload!
The art in Heros of Might and Magic III has the best art

"I'm not an expert at this game."
Me coming here from 2022: *Could have fooled me.*
It is really interesting how he gets better in the game by the years. I love how he is afraid of things that in later years he would cut through like butter... I think that he should do a retrospective, analysing some of his older playthroughs, that would be fun!
