Great video very helpful indeed how to do this job. Its very annoying that when all these nuts and bolts where first put on the threads they did not have a little bit of copper ease grease put on them. Many years ago a garage I used for repairs the owner Mr Smith always used to put a little copper ease on every nut and bolt when he did repairs his philosophy was it could be me in 2 years time trying to undo the bolts again and it saves me time and hassle if nuts and bolts come apart easy since then I have always done this on any repairs I do on anything with nuts and bolts
Thanks very much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it. Mr Smith was a smart fella, either way it's nice to pay the kindness forward to whoever it may be tackling the job next.
I just finished this job thanks to this video. I think I made a mistake though. I put the 2 strut nuts and bolts that attach to the knuckle the opposite way compared to the direction shown in this video. I'm I okay leaving it? Or should I fix it?
Hi, nice one, glad to hear it helped. I just replaced them the way they came out. If they are torqued up correctly and not fouling on anything I can't see it making much difference which side the nut is to be honest. That said I'm not a trained mechanic, maybe ask the tester next time yo take it for a n MOT if it makes any difference?
Top work mate, really decent video.
Cheers mate, Glad you enjoyed it.
