This book, out of all in the Bible, has comforted me and helped me coast through this thing called, life. I can think of no other. I'm always in search of a stirring audio version of it, and this is one of many that I've found.
I simply love the way you read the Holy scriptures. I listen to you as much as possible and want to thank you for sharing this gift the Lord has given you. God bless you.
This is probably the most powerful rendition of Ecclesiastes I’ve ever heard. And the NIV translation is so beautiful and poetic. Meaningless - that is all to be said about human life without conscious search for God in it, meaningless and a chasing after the wind…
True, but you will read from or hear from many interpreters, including the wiki, about the ambiguity of the book, even disputing if the voice believes in God, or if he is literally casting the life off as meaningless. The subtlety and nuance of fallen faith is lost on people, especially moderns, as it was on me, as an immature reader. So it is some of the great scripture, but not to be understood without a guide.
People genuinely believe, as I once did, it is an effusion of existential despair. Of course it is not; that would be like mistaking Buddha under the Bodhi tree in a different tradition. It is a poem of joy, of hope, but not obviously for the casual reader.
This is a noble and powerful reading, but my one criticism would be, lean more toward the delight and humour in the insights and less to seriousness to bring out the profound meaning of the scripture
@@ishmaelforester9825He is saying without God life is meaningless, which is true. The things we have been taught to do is meaningless. It does not give us rest as our lord gives us
This made me opened my eyes. When we go away from our real purpose (following God and glorify him), we will be left with no purpose. That's why many people are depressed and the will to not live is high because they have left their original purpose. Basically if we went astray from our purpose, our existance has no reason and that one would think we shouldn't exists. It's like a phone charger going away from it's original purpose of charging phones. If it left it's purpose, it has no purpose to exists any longer, it will probably think it shouldn't exists.
It's awesome that it's even biblically appropriate to yell at God when you reach your breaking point, and He loves it because you're finally being honest. Look at Psalm 88 lol

You have chosen wisely. Koheleth channels wisdom in both the literal and in riddles of the subconscious
My daily routine listening to the word of Our Lord saviour and salvation amen 🙏

Am I the only one who thinks this is one of the most beautiful books of the bible...
No! You're not!
My eyes keep watering and my heart expanding and contracting , it’s truly the word of God
This book makes you think, "Why am I stressing myself?" It's completely meaningless.
