Paying 2K for DWX does not make sense to me . Especially with it NOT having Optics Cut . I could buy CZ S2 Optics Ready 1.2k , CGW SAO Conversion 270 , Extended Left Side Safety 75 , Lok Veloce Palm Swell Grips 120 , CGW RMR Footprint Optics Plate 50 , CGW 11# Recoil Spring 10 , Magwell 80 , and HOLOSUN 507-Comp 350 . That's slighly over 2k and that's gonna be 1 bad ass setup . Not saying the DWX ain't awesome . I just cant justify when I can build a better pistol for the same amount of money and they are from the same family . Hell CS TS2 Orange is also about 2k as well . They aren't optics ready but you can get dovetail OPTICS mount that's pretty legit and reliable.
Well it better be a better pistol for you! You just built a custom pistol designed around what you want. I have both the S2 that's been touched by cajun and full size DWX. I will say the DWX is better.
@@johnbuntin7188 I've shot the DWX . I cannot tell a difference . My S2 with CGW SAO Conversion is right at 2#s with super short reset . The DWX does have slighly shorter reset but not by much. That's awesome you like the DWX more . Hell if I could justify spending 3k for DWX with all mods I'd want . I would probably like the DWX more lol . IMO if you are paying 2k to 2.2k for a pistol . Might as well save another 200 and get Staccato P DPO. That's the only reason why I stop at 2k in total for all mods I want . Any more than that then I should of just got P-DPO
Thank you for your video, gentlemen! I am looking for a concealed-carry/home defense pistol. I really liked the full-sized DWX. I have large hands, so a grip that fits is important. I want to equip the firearm with a green-dot and flashlight. I started out looking at the Sig Sauer P226 MK25. However, I cannot equip the MK25 as I would like. If I heard you correctly, the DWX's may not accommodate the green-dot and flashlight. If so, what are your thoughts on the Springfield DS Prodigy, Beretta M9A1, or Stacatto CS DPO? Thanks, JP
The Dwx can take a dot…it would just need to be sent off to a company to mill the slide since it’s not optics ready from the factory. We also did a video on the prodigy vs stacatto vs platypus. I’m not a fan of the prodigy at all but the stacatto is great…as well as the stealth arms platypus. We became platypus dealers and stock them regularly because of how much we loved them.
@@txarms - thank you for your reply! I will look at the Stealth Arms Platypus. I liked what I saw in the Bul Armory's Tac 4.25 as well. Lastly, I have not completely ruled out the Staccato C2 or P models.
How's the size comparison between the DWX Compact and something like the Staccato C2 or New C? Medium hands and pondering grip size. Thanks for the video.
I would say size wise in the grip the CZ/Dan Wesson is a much better fit for small/medium hands “typically”. Obviously everyone is different…but the ergonomics on the DWXc is far superior to the 2011 platform. We actually just got in the DWXc brand new optics ready version the other day that wasn’t out when this video was published. We just put those on our site recently.
@@txarms That was my take also based on what I've read. I've been waiting on the 2024 C release, but now on the hunt for a DWXC Optic Cut. Appreciate the feedback.
It wasn't a huge amount...probably top of head for center mass impact. The hold over was much higher at 400 and 600 yards that I also got hits on...but couldn't pick up the audio on camera lol
Love mine, can't wait to get my slide back w/SRO
I got my DWX compact cut for a SRO and it’s the best gun I’ve ever had may hands on!

S2 has a cast frame, DWX has a forged frame. Also no MIM parts
