    I think i didnt explain it thoroughly in the vid
    *SINGLE TARGET* is working as intended. If you use Single target skills on the marked unit, that unit will do splash dmg to 2 other units. The unit that is targetted by the single target skill DOES NOT receive any splash dmg.
    *AOE SKILLS* is interacting weirdly with the debuff.
    Lets say there are 3 enemies, all with the debuff. If you target a marked unit WITH an AOE SKILL, the unit that you target WILL NOT receive splash dmg from the other 2 marked enemies, despite those 2 enemies being hit with an AOE.
    the problem with targetting the towers is that single target skills will go to waste. For example, if you set the AI to target the right tower, Sander will use his skills onto that tower, wasting all his attacks just to proc the true dmg from Javid's debuff on the boss.
    Hope this is clearer. I didnt know how to explain it in the vid 😂😂

      From most of my MMO experience anytime something says "splash damage" it means the targeted enemy does NOT receive the slash damage - only those surrounding it. I think of it like slapping water with your hand (only those around your hand get splashed - the water just gets hit).

      he's saying that for AoE attacks, each attack on each enemy should splash to the other 2 (if i.e. 3 enemy situation). So everyone should take splash damage.
      Instead, the highlighted enemy doesn't take any splash at all.

      @@bloop1097 Yea I still think that's working as intended. Any enemy you target - be it AOE or not - will not receive splash damage. So long as you click an enemy that enemy doesn't get "splashed" as he is selected irrespective of ability type you use.
      Mind you i'm not saying this is a good thing - I just see where their headspace was at with the effect.

      ⁠​⁠@@yellowdacia that’s a weird way to implement it tho, and feels more like bad coding than intended. Say there are three targets standing near each other, and you attack each with an aoe attack. That would be three splashes in total, and each should receive splash damage twice from the other two.
      But in this case, what’s happening is two of the targets are hit with 3 splashes, while the one you “highlighted” doesn’t get any splash. This seems like an oversight because technically an aoe attack doesn’t have a specific target at all, it just hits everyone.
      What likely happened here is that they just coded whoever is “highlighted” to not receive splash damage, which is normal for single target attack interaction with Javid’s seal, but mess up with aoe attack.

      Thanks ggez yr right splash dmg will be only on team mate and thats a weak point in the lion make him not that good in boss fight because those 2 or 3 teammate its not neccessary to dmg them or kill them.👍

    Good find. Let's see if the devs change the way he works here. The game is simply taking your focus as the main target and thus won't receive true damage as what the kit suggests: Team mates.

      I think you are forgetting that he is the esper designed for the boss that you cannot target. That boss will always take the true damage. Much like Mateo, unique design that makes him required.

    Coming back to this, idk when they fixed it or they just did with the Lian patch, but his debuff has been fixed. The AoE not htting the "target" actually hits now.

      Apparently they fixed him in the last update. It was a silent patch though so it went unnoticed

    It is very likely bugged.
    The text says “When the target inflicted with this debuff takes damage, dealing Splash Damage to 2 of their teammates randomly”
    This means that once you damage apep, two teammates (this is the towers) take splash damage. However, this splash damage also counts to the passive, so the splash damage the left tower receives should splash to apep and to the right tower, and the splash damage the right tower receives should splash to the left tower and to apep. So they all should have 2 red numbers of damage. At least that’s what makes sense based on the description of the ability; so yeah I think its bugged
    All of that being said, he will probably only be good on bosses that have companions, on bosses that stand alone, he wont have a way to deal splash damage and so loses the true damage

    Splash damage.... that means it goes to the side and dnot the target itself... it says in the description lol

    Splash damage are coded with (origin) target. Most likely that's the reason why the main targeted unit isn't affected. I doubt they will change it cause it will lead them to changing the splash damage coding overall. They could implement a clause for his debuff only but we shall see. It's not a bug.

      I made a further explanation on the pinned comment. The splash dmg happens. Just the interaction with AOE is what makes him very bad for bosses

      @@RYUJINCAPPER no no, I get that. The problem with it's coding is that dislyte has a trageting system. Even when you have an AOE skill, you still have a main target that you choose and that's what's wrong. That's the (origin). If you played final fantasy games, when you cast aoe skills, the targeting system either disappears or spreads to avoid this problem

      @@RYUJINCAPPER but fr, they have some weird beef with inferno. Infernos get lower end of a stick most of the time, compared to other elements. I really hope this is a bug dude, but idk.

    Currently my Ashley ( fully skilled up ) with Ocean set doing super good in both PVE and PVP, i think Javid won't outperform her in the future.

    what's the point if removing DoT's before he attacks instead of before his turn? Also if it's worded like that, does he remove DoT's with counterattacks?

      Its to amplify his attack when he purifies the poison. He still takes the poison tick at the start of turn.
      Havent tested the counter attack yet 😬😬

      but if we were to target the right/left towers, single target skills will be useless right now his main issue is that when using AOE skills, the unit that is targetted will not receive any splash dmg from other debuffed units
