The fact that he felt jealous that his friend was dead really got to me. It reminded me about how I felt when my dad passed away when I was 9. I felt it all again and I cried

The one guy, I think his name was josh.. we are in similar situations. It made me tear up to hear this song and his reasoning. I lost my best friend two years ago. December 9 of 2016 marked two years. His family called me and told me of him being in the hospital and he died a few hours after I was told. It was a very bad week for me, I had the flu, I had trouble at home and school, and I was going through a really bad break up at the time. I thought it couldn't get worse, but losing my best friend made all of those things I was going through, not matter anymore. When I lost my best friend, I lost my whole world. Always cherish your best friends, for one day they might not be here. I never imagined the day would come, but it has taught me a lot.. It's been two years and I have thought of him every single day. The pain still hurts as if it had just happened yesterday. It's really hard to deal with. I will always have a huge hole in my heart from where my best friend is gone. A piece of my heart will always belong in heaven, and I will be so happy when we reunite again. You're gone, but I'll never forget you. RIP my best friend, January 1996 - December 2014. you are my whole world and you'll always remain with me, even when you're gone. I love you.

6'4" 120kg and crying like a baby here!!! Probably the most emotional I've been since my brother died!.
I couldn't ever imagine the pain of losing a brother or a sister or even a parent. I'm lucky enough to have gone this far without that happening, praise God. I can't relate in that aspect, but I hope and pray that whoever has gone through that pain will recover emotionally and psychologically. That's just awful, man.

That looks she gives at 10:10 was a soul ripper. Also, it's throughout this performance that we see Simon tear down inside. He is a ghost, a shell. He's not fighting it, or hiding it...but you can see the despair on his face of feeling this young mans pain, his loss. We all felt it. I don't know these people, but I recognize their pain.
Oh my gosh, josh was superb. Not just his voice but the story he told through his singing was beautifully tragic definitely cried. That was so lovely.
