Sue Su is a Li (not a Han) from Hainan Island. She's a girl from tropical seas, full of naturalness and spontaneity. After graduating from Beijing Academy of Contemporary Music (2014), she started writing and composing her own songs (2015)... but she's not very popular in China. Her fans think she would be more successful in the West. And it's a fact: we love her ! She's 31 now (she was 24 here).

Actually, her relative unpopularity is not even my opinion (I don't live in China and therefore could not know that), but it was the opinion of several Chinese people exchanging comments about her. I believe them and I regret it because Sue Su is absolutely unique and... totally adorable.
I watched the singer 2024 earlier today and suddenly thought of this performance from Su. Then youtube search brought this reaction clip to me. Really like your professional comments. It helps me understand more why I like this song :)
She is very special. If you can understand the lyrics, you will definitely touch by that. Also in this performance, her singing technique changed so much on this performance from her normal singing way and I know that was very difficult for an artist to do so from their normal way to sing. She changes a lot of notes from the original version of this song by using her way to interpret this song and it still sounds beautiful.
