I don't play for hours on end, instead I use it like a tool for boredom. When I'm starting off the day, I'll open RS while I decide what I'm doing for the day, and after about 20 mins, I'm so sick of wasting time afk-ing of clicking another fucking giant for some big bones that I click the X and go do something productive cause of the existential crisis that playing runescape in my 30's just gave me. After my 20 mins of RS in the morning, I know I won't waits another precious moment of that day. So I'd say playing in your 30's still has its benefits XD
