Ride To The Wall 2019 - Drayton Manor to The National Memorial Arboretum

- In my 11 years of attending the Ride To The Wall this is the first year I've captured it on video. Something I was unsure about but I wanted to show Mad & Momma Soph what to expect when they do join me on one in future. Plus, if it gets the word out and generates more donations then that's no bad thing.
RTTW Mission Statement:
"That motorcyclists may gather together and ride as a group to a place of remembrance to pay their respects to our serving and fallen servicemen and women and in doing so raise funds for the National Memorial Arboretum, solely for the purpose of perpetuating their memory and recognising the sacrifice they made."
The event is one very personal to me for reasons which you will hear in the video. If you would like to know more about the event or would like to donate you can do so on the link below.

I now have 3 top videos of all time and I watch a LOT of UA-cam Dad!!! I’m absolutely sobbing! 😭😭😭😭😭. The respect shown by every single person from you bikers to the people waving from footpaths and overpasses, to the organisers and traffic controllers. The way parents bring their children to show what respect looks like is just awesome! I CANNOT stop crying dad!!!! Mannnnn this truly was such a brolliant vid and I mean it when I say top 3 of mine!!! The music, the comradarie, the man saluting you all and the pain in all of your hearts laying the wreath just set me off and I can’t stop! Much respect to you Dad and I tell you what 🔥 will be deadset blown away with what you’ve done here! RIP 🔥... I’ll never forget you now either and lest we forget ☝️😉😉😉🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Weigh Pride Thank you so so much, that means a lot to me. Your comments now have me crying! In your top 3? Wow 🙏♥️
Yes the effort by the organisers is unreal and people lining the streets, lay-bys and bridges to wave us through is always amazing to see. It’s the children and the old ladies who get me.
The music choice was difficult besides the last song, I knew that was going in. The rest were difficult to choose, couldn’t be too light or too dark to be in keeping with the ride but I think they work. The service this year was beautiful as always but I chose no to record it and then visiting The Wall itself is always emotional. The scariest part is the blank space on the wall.
Thank you again, I really do appreciate your comments and you taking the time to watch. We will remember them. ♥️🔥
So nice to see everyone come together for such a special event dad, well done brother 💯, never forget our fallen hero's,✌️N ❤️brother💯

That was awesome Dad! You did an amazing job with the editing. It is nice to see everyone from the riders to the spectators get behind a worthwhile cause. Freedom isn't free for those soldiers and their families that sacrificed for us to live in free countries! People sometimes lose sight of that.
Ride On Two Thank you so much for saying so mate, it’s taken a lot of work but I wanted to try my best to get it right. I hope I did the event justice. I appreciate your comments and you taking the time out to watch.
The spectators blow me away every time.
They gave their tomorrow for our today. We will remember them. ♥️
Dusty eyes here on Hickman Ridge, I'll have to come back on comment further when I can compose myself. Many don't realize how hard it is to concentrate and ride with so much emotion, but we do it to honor our fallen. Thank you for capturing on video and sharing. I had to pause when you opened the box...
JT Hickman It was a difficult task to put it together but I wanted to share what the event is, how much support it gets and why it means a lot to me and my friends as well as thousands of others for their own personal reasons. I knew you would understand and appreciate this one mate. Thanks for watching and for your comments, it means a lot. We will remember them.
This video gave me goosebumps. Incredible to see everyone come together to show their respects for the fallen. Looks like an extremely humbling experience brother and really appreciate you bringing us along for this ride.

@@dadandmad My pleasure..I am glad that I found your channel because I am really enjoying it!! I would love it if you considered a visit to my channel, to help support a fellow youtuber, as I have for you. I hope you have a great weekend 👍👍🎸🎸
Fair play for going every year man, that can't have been easy. Really nicely edited too you portrayed it perfectly. Cigar at the end is a nice touch too. I read the story on Instagram alright and was very interested to see this.
A great turnout too with some amazingly nice bikes there, I'd love to get a 250 Mutt Sabbath myself.
Nice tasteful work man.
The GorillaBiker Thank you so much man. Appreciate the comments and you stopping by to watch. You’re right it’s not easy but it’s something I have and always will do in honour of Flame and the other servicemen & women who made the ultimate sacrifice. Editing and music selection was a hard task but the feedback I’ve had so far has been real supportive and I appreciate that. Yes, cigar and port is something we always partake in, in memory of Flame.
The Mutts are great bikes man, if you haven’t seen my video from our visit to Mutt HQ then give that a watch when you get time, some awesome bikes there.
Thanks again man. 👊
@@dadandmad No need to thank me man :)
We'll it's a damn good way to honour his and others memory man. I have a video to edit of a group ride for a cause too and I'll be honest I'm afraid to mess it up so this video really is a good indication of how to make something tasteful, it really helped seeing it. So thank you :)
I will definitely check it out man!
The GorillaBiker I was the same dude, I really wanted to do the event justice, music selection was tough too. I look forward to seeing that video man and so nice of you to say that watching this has helped you with that. Thanks again. 👊
dad-and mad. Dust in my Eyes. I did my first RTTW in 2010 from Drayton Manor, haven't missed one since. Pity about 2020 but roll on 2021. The flask was a nice gesture.
I had not seen this one, Thankyou for sharing it. One of the best I have seen. Respect to you all, see you this year if it is possible.
Hi Tina, sorry for the late reply. Thanks so much. Doing this video was difficult but I’m so glad I could do it some justice. Hopefully see you there next year. We will remember them.

Andy Dale Hi mate, I use a GoPro Hero 5 with a microphone adapter nowadays. When this was recorded I used the same camera but with the audio being pulled from a mic and my Cardo Scala Rider G9X headset using a combination of splitters. If you need any help, message me on facebook (Cuz Jon) or Instagram (dadandmad). Thanks for watching.
