Great video man. I currently own a NA R154 Supra, but I'm hoping to buy a TT auto Supra and I'll be wanting to manual convert it. After many conversations with other owners I've basically been told the R154 gearbox is the best bet as well
How about the t56 magnum conversions? Any thoughts on those. They require some adaptors etc but not nearly as much as the cd009s. Also any thoughts on sequential gearboxes? HGT comes to mind. Great vid.
Thank you! The t56 are good options, but you have to import those into the UK which can be expensive and also a bit more modification to get it to fit. SRD tuning actually have a video on their page where they fitted one recently so that should give you more info. As for the sequential, that would be crazy! But ultimately for me I wanted something closer to stock and OEM as possible.
I like mine. Its paired with a Drift motion short shifter and extension in a is300 with a 1jz vvti (poor man's Chaser) quite a manly feeling trans indeed. Hard to get into 5th sometimes when really smaking its ass but got mine used thou so can't complain.
@@CRD90 nice! Ill keep an eye out for you. Looking at getting into a JZX soon hence why i was watching this video. If i see the car on the road ill be sure to say hello
