- These Lasfit LED's are a great improvement over stock halogen bulbs. For reference the truck shown in this video is a 2022 Silverado LTD Custom. Should be a similar process on all 2019-2022 Silverado LTD's. 2022.5 refresh models may have different requirements.

They told me that the 9005 wouldn’t fit had to be at h11 for the high beam
Well my video proves that incorrect.
Thank you for showing the position on the led bulb for High beam.
You bet! Thanks for watching.
Can you please share link for the wiring harness. Thank you
What harness are you referring to?
I don't small hands and I got both high and low beam swapped from the top with out removing fenders
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for the video. How are they still doing? I have the same headlights and tried the Lasfits that are fanless. They are smaller and not as bright in wattage/lumens as yours. I’m running them with the OEM dust caps. Time will tell if there are any overheating issues. For now, they are fine.
They're doing great. No issues so far.
Im going to try these ones...i tried couple other led bulbs and they all suck and cant see anything at night like their not even on...i up graded my 22 custom with fog lights cause they dont come factory that upgrade makes a a huge difference with seeing on the side of the truck better...if you really wanna see then add the ditch hood lights and or a light bar
They’ve been great. Even for a reflector housing these bulbs are miles better than stock.
Would you recommend getting High beams also if the low beams are bright enough...I already have a 20" light bar in front on my brush guard and a 42" light bar on my roll bar in the bed of my truck lol
Yea I would. They help too. I use them frequently. What fog lights did you go with? I’ve been thinking about adding them to my Custom.
I had the dealership Install the factory setup that came with the the fog light buckets, wire harness and the new dash switch also came with bulbs...but I switched them out with led bulbs...cost around 700 with install but it's covered under warranty
Wow,wtf their 150-170 dollars for the low beam only that's crazy...
Hey brother, I need your help. I got a set of these bulbs to review from Lasfit. I decided to work on the easy side first (passenger). The bulb just doesn’t fit into the headlight housing. The actual snout of the bulb is 19.1 mm and the factory bulb is about 16 mm. I made sure to use the correct bulb for the passenger side as they’re side specific. The three tabs that are supposed to protrude through the openings on the housings are flush and will not go through enough to turn and lock into place. And that’s with the orange O-ring removed for testing. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me another set but they’re exactly the same. This is being installed on a friends 2022 Silverado Custom non refreshed. Unfortunately, when we put the truck back together my friend dropped the halogen bulb inside the housing and it fell to the bottom. Had to buy another halogen bulb, ooof. I don’t know what to do. Any ideas? My personal truck has factory LED’s thank God.
I remember it being a HUGE pain in the ass to get them to fit. I know this is a lot of extra work. But you can try to remove the headlight housings from the front end. And then installing the bulbs with them off the truck. Then reinstall the headlight. I think I show part of that process in my Gen5DIY DRL harness install video for this truck. Hopefully that helps. Good luck!
@@fondupot how do you get the headlight assemblies out?
Involves removing the grille. I don’t have a full video on it. But I think I show some in another video. Referenced in my previous comment.
@@fondupot yeah, I’m not gonna go that far. I do have some good news though. I was able to get both bulbs in. The trick is to use the original O-rings from the OEM bulb and put some silicone lubrication on the O-rings. That helped the bulb spin easy and it was super easy after that.
@@TheCarCrazyGuy right on, glad you got it to work. Good idea lubing up the o-rings.
I tore my hand up trying to get that damn bulb back into the driver side headlight. Could never get it seat in olace and lock. Had 3 guys try and not one could get the light in. I had to put the halogen back in due to led not working and its not in properly. I dont know how in the hell you got that in.
@@thepainter6486 I remember it being a royal Pain in the butt. Sorry you’re having troubles.
Do you notice the fan noise? On the fence trying to figure out the best LEDS for my 2023 custom as the factory halogens are horrible
Only when the truck is off and the lights are on. Otherwise you don’t hear it at all ever.
lots of guys say they switched the DRV and PASS bulbs. did you do that?
Meaning they switched the driver side to the passenger side? The bulbs are identical. So I’m not sure what benefit this would be.
Have the same bulbs. Tried for an hour and couldn't get a low or high beam to twist into place. Heat sink is so big it is impossible to twist the low beams in for me...
Sorry to hear that. It’s def a tough space to get your hands into.
You're not alone. I think some people just get lucky because there's no way in hell that bulb is twisting in place. I had everything lined up perfectly and it's still would not seat properly. When looking at the lights head on through the headlight housing, the upper left metal piece isn't able to push far enough through the inlet of the housing. I see the lights have a tension spring which makes me feel like they have to sorta go in and up to push in on the spring for it to be able to sit flush and then turn. Maybe if I order enough led light bulbs, one will give just enough to work. I'm so pissed because the first time I put an LED in the driver side housing it was defective. When I tried putting back in the stock halogen light until the new LED came in I could never get it to seat in properly. Once I got the new LED light it was impossible. My hand was so torn up I'm just paying Chevy to do it while my truck is in for service. $70 is worth it!
@thepainter6486 hopefully the Chevy dealer doesn’t mess it up. But you could also try removing the grill to get the headlights housings out and then you can install the bulbs very easily.
@@fondupot yes, after searching for Led aftermarket headlight housings and watching videos on how to remove the factory headlights either I'm going to do it that way to install just the LED bulbs or order new aftermarket headlights that come with the LED lights installed. Thanks for your response
@thepainter6486 good luck. Let me know how it goes.
Do you struggle with the back up camera flickering
Nope. Nothing like that.
Would a regular h11 from lasfit work? The pros are quite a bit more expensive
Probably. But I don’t know for sure.
I installed (4) pros on my 2023 custom today and it was not easy. I adjusted the collars and no matter what i did, i could not get them lined up top to bottom 😡
They are bright for sure but its impossible to get them lined up top to bottom. Not sure what else to do. Wish you could lock them in, then loosen the set screw to get them top to bottom. 😡
Yea that’s my biggest issue with these. But they sure are better than stock.
@@fondupot insanely brighter. I did the complete pkg (4) Pro headlights, front turn signals, backup lights, license plate lights. They are insanely bright
@@toddhorton2484 Nice. I think I have the other bulbs, but haven't gotten around to doing them all yet.
Great work
Cheers. Thanks
Any issues with flickering or getting lights getting really dim?
Nope been great so far. I did install a gen5diy DRL relocation harness, so my headlights aren't on for the DRL anymore. When they are used in as a DRL this could cause excess use on the LEDs and could cause them to wear out faster than normal.
These lights would work on the 2022 Silverado custom correct?
Is it a 2022.5 refresh. Or a 2022 LTD?
Good question. The front looks exactly like yours. I believe that it’s not a LTD. But is there a way to find out exactly what it is? Because all it says is Chevy Silverado 2022 custom
My trucks owners manual says “Silverado LTD”. So if you’re had that as well. It’s probably the same as mine. Mines a 2022 LTD.
@@joetingelhoff9847 and if it was a 2022.5 refresh, the front end would look different.
My front grill look just like yours! I’m looking at my owners manual right now and it doesn’t say anything about LTD that’s why I am so confused right now!
Sorry for asking so many questions I just don’t wanna spend 200+ bucks on led for them not to work
The brights in your description say they don’t fit my vehicle (according to Amazon) and those low beams are EXPENSIVE! I’m definitely not gonna pay $180 for low beams 😂
Amazon isn’t always correct. And yea they’re expensive. But they are really great.
Seems when that fan inevitably burns out it could cause a fire.
Haven’t had an issue yet. I think there’s a failsafe that if the fan stops the bulb becomes inoperable.
@@fondupot - That would do the trick, then just replace the buld again.
@dannyholland493 correct. 👍🏻
