@@Barry.ONeill Actually if it wasn't for Allan that channel wouldn't be what it is either. Remember the MX5 turbo build at Am auto? They have really been great for one another's work.
this is the first time since MCM' inception has actually shown up to show support for their "so called friends" everyone comes to your aid to get work done and to make your show. but you never go the other way. Benny, Al, woody have all gone beyond anything, and you didn't even reciprocate. this is a start. but start remembering your friends
@@seinfeld11123 That is flat out not true. MCM has given shoutouts to all of the spin-offs (Including Nugget Garage, which is not a direct spin off) on several occasions.
My favourite episodes are the ones that collab with local businesses. It could be gross and come across as some foul advert, but I really like when the lads acknowledge that they are not the experts and go to someone that is. Thanks.
Always pleased to see the Fairlane back for upgrades. Time goes fast... Still remember watching the build on MCMTV2 before you got your own channel. With the more efficient box and a bit more boost I hope this cool old girl breaks the 700HP mark :D
My old boss always said.....if you cant explain it simply then you dont know enough about it....i cant simply explain something, i have to explain everything about it and related parts lol. He said i confused him explaining the simplest things because i was too in depth.
I can imagine TurboYoda wearing the his glasses and turning into a scientist and explaining it science language and then takes of the glasses and sounds like a typical Aussie. 😁😁😁😁
I'm doing Movember for the company I work for, doing that Move for Movember thing, walked 64km already, only started Sunday, didn't do it yesterday because I cooked myself on Monday, but did the same distance again today in one session instead of two & barely felt it.
It's strange to think the cascade of events that led to the creation of this channel and many others. If Marty and Moog hadn't decided to film themselves working on their shitboxes in Marty's mom's driveway, we would have never seen amazing folks like Al, Scotty, Woody, Benny and so many others. Most of them would probably be quietly plucking away at work and on personal projects and none of us would have the chance to see their skill and learn from their experience. Thank you MCM for the creation of so many amazing car channels.
Your boy Matt does nice work. This is why you go to people with the know how and the set up. It's why I get mechanics to work on my car when possible. I could do a lot myself, did when I was younger, but it's just easier to give the job to someone with the tools and the experience to know what to fix, and work their way out of problems too.
Been delayed watching this episode too many times. I have to say the skill and foresight of the pair of you and those who you bring in on these builds is consistently fantastic. Keep up the great work.
For some nose angle adjustment with leaf springs, wedges can be used between the spring and the axle - it's commonly use for heavy vehicle caster adjustment. There will, of course, be limits to the adjustment, but for fine tuning it should certainly help.
Yes the Denmah doesn't get enough mention for the effort he's put into showing how to make power on the cheap can't wait to see what the mustang does with the high dollar build he's proved himself 100 times over with junk and finding the limits of it and providing the tunes on the builds to save the average guy doing it on the cheap from scattering their junk from a bad tune
#250 is thankful Al is great at sharing knowledge and is patient with the challenged seekers. Humm! 31f and snow. Winter project's and supply's plus the skid factory?. 👌
I'm sure you guys have it coming soon but I hope we get to see the Fairlane being tuned with the Hoff. Also will you show the set up of the trans brake....button wiring and location and if it has any input and output with the engine controller.
Just out of curiosity, the rear leaf springs in fairlanes and most of the big body fords and utes have always been quite long. The rear springs in this beast don't physically look too beefy, is there any concern surrounding spring wrap and axle tramp with the current springs? Also top notch work as always boys 👍
Upgrades time - always a delight when the Fairlane comes back for the yearly updates. On the other side of things, growing a beard/mustache isn't a problem for me - takes all of a week to get the basics in place, and then a week to fill out... But I am not crazy about how any mustache looks on me (face better suits a well trimmed goatee/small beard). It's for a good cause though, so I did fully shave on the 1st and already got the basic outline going (been doing it for 6 years now). :-)
The accuracy and fitting of the 9 inch is incredible! I absolutely love it, precision fitment is always a joy to watch. Speaking of watch ⌚, precision watch restoration is also a pleasure to see.
I reckon I could do something like this pretty easily. All I'm missing is the skill, training, knowledge, experience, equipment, tools, parts, money, time and space. But other than that I could do it.
I tell you what. After watching some serious thumbs up backsides over on another channel I’ve come to the conclusion that you boys are bloody awesome. How spoiled are we. That was a big one.
I always wondered how you do Movember if you already have one so I reckon Al needs to be the first to do "re-move-mber" where you gradually shave your beard and mo over a month so it's all gone by the end... 😂
love the show, love the fairlane and seeing it's development. as soon as i started adding horsepower to my XB i had a lot of trouble with axle tramp. i found a set of GT style traction rods and mounts and when i installed them it totally eliminated axle tramp. especially when doing naughty things. lol. will you be fitting something similar considering the power and type of punishment this is likely to receive?
Awesome Video! I watch everything you guys post. Just a thought, an RB26DETT from a Holden VL Commodore would be a sweet locally available swap into something odd-ball. Albeit I'm guessing their all scooped up by now.

Great video as always girls. Thank you.
Great seeing the knowledge passed down. Father to Matt, Alan to Woody. Then there's Matt giving Alan some lessons. The cycle is complete
you forgot the shave the eyebrows woody

I like when someone can explain complex things into everyday terms. Not only can Matt does the fab work I reckon he understands the theory behind it.

So much good info, you guys always kill it, Cheers
Just saw the blue beast on a trailer heading west near Ipswich! I'm guessing it's going on the "road trip"? Very neat car!
Best sponsor ad yet! Nice work Al - Can crusher 9000 ;)

I think you should have a dyno off with diesel pump uk’s om606 patrol...you inspired him to do it with the Cummins patrol.
Diesel Pumps U.K’s would win right now due to it having a functioning turbo 😂.
Donated.
Thanks for the uploads over the past few years!

A bloke can adjust the pinion angle on a leaf spring setup by using an angled shim under the axle plate. It’s not ideal maybe, but it works.

Ha. Woody is rocking the Richard Holdener (gone rogue) look.
I dare Al to drop the beard and leave the mo for Movember.
For Movember, you are supposed to start the month clean-shaven. At the end of the month, see how good a 'tache you have grown.
That jig matt's got made for diffs is a clever bit of kit

Best sponsor break ever!

How about installing a Nissan engine into a Commodore ?
Holden did that in 1986.
Heaps of good information keep up the awesome work guys!!
Nice work Al. Good to see you doing intelligent things while woody is where he should be, behind the camera 😁
Woody needs to go watch some Richard Holdner! Legend.
