1932 ford #112 model A or B flathead race block crack repair by tatro machine
I used lock-n-stich crack repair pins.
I used both castmaster and tapered pins to fix the cracks
this model A block was run in a lakester at Bonneville without water. when that happened it over heated the block and cracked the one cylinder and intake port.
all these ford flathead 4 cylinder blocks from 1928-34 are about the same so this repair should work for them too.
If you were to slow down and go half as fast as a final pass would it get some more of that grooving out and make it smooth. Not sure what kind of gasket they're going to use but if it's an MLs to smoother it is the better. Awesome videos up to this point I started at the beginning. It's mind-blowing to me how you can drill holes tap them break off a screw in them grind them down and peeing them over.
what i did worked. could it have been better, damm right. i used the tools i have and made them work. better tooling with the correct cutters would make a big difference but i made do with what i had.
in the end, the motor went back to the track and made more runs.

What was the final bit you found that cut? Carbide?
carbide at a much lower speed.

Did you ever stitch the crack?
what i did and how i did it is in the videos. watch the playlist and see what i did.

I like your video's. If you would number your them the series would be easier to follow.
i wonder what that #112 is for. do you know what a playlist is.
