- 2 Episodes on one 1 video!
Joas and Justin visit an Amish community about 6 hrs from home to help Joas’ niece and family on a log home they are building.
On episode 2, Joas, Justin and Ethan build an 8x10 chicken coop. Follow along and enjoy!
I admire how you are teaching your children "life skills." Such a valuable teaching!
I truly enjoyed this video...actually, I’d say: “both” videos. You are helping your older sons in learning both “building skills, good shepherding, and helping hands”! Doing for others is the main thing your older sons are learning in these videos and they seem very happy to do these things, which is wonderful. Your very valuable skills are being passed to them, which is great. My dad made a great chicken coop from scraps and he was proud of it...back in the early 1950s!
Beautiful chicken coop..
Would make an awesome play house to for the girls ♡
Yall are a very talented family.
You have such a lovely family! Thank you for including us on this trip. We so enjoy seeing the talent and creativity of family members and how you joyfully work together. Blessings🙏🏼
Thank you for helping me relive my childhood in IN. How I loved our Amish and Mennonite background and family. I was a wild child but either with Fanny across the road or the Miller's easily found but riding horses and ponies. I am Proud of our ancestors fight for Freedoms we have in our Beliefs. I still love that wonderful smell of fresh cut lumber and building things I can. God's Grace apon you and all the vast relatives you show us. 💞✝️📖🕊💜🌹
I didn’t realize you were able to still be a part of some of your traditional Amish family even though you are non traditional….that’s wonderful. Cute kids…
Double your money, double the fun. God sure blessed your family uniquely with two hardworking trend setter, handsome young men with strong character and exceptional work ethics and fun. Great job everyone. Loved the sweet Amish family and their Montana Prairie Amish farm. Thanks everyone for sharing. Inspirational, encouraging and so much fun to watch. Mucho Gracias.
Those boys are sure growing ;handsome ,strong and talented.good job dad and mom
YOUR NIECE'S CHILDREN ARE SO CUTE THEIR HOME WILL BE BEAUTIFUL ONCE ITS FINISH AND YOU AND YOUR BOYS DID A VERY NICE JOB ON THE CHICKEN COOP🐔🐔🐔🐓🐓🥰🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
Your work ethic is admirable. In our country we were spoilt, always having had servants. But this created relatively lazy kids, and adults for that matter. I'd give anything to start my life over, being more productive and diligent. You people are brilliant 👏
Hello from the UK! I never thought I would enjoy watching a blog about building a chicken coop but I enjoy all your blogs! You , Joas, and Priscilla make everything interesting. I love your family values and how you are teaching your sons not just carpentry skills but if the joy and blessings to be found in serving others.
Thanks Nora! Blessings!
My daughter says she would like to live in that chicken coop as her own house. Beautiful videos. I hope the new car drive well for you.

That is a 5 stars chicken coop, well done boys ! Love that you show us Montana, it looks so wild !
I loved it, at around 15:00 to 15:30 you're saying, and there's a chicken window. 🤣🤣
Joas, seeing you with the children brought to mind the scripture where Jesus says, "Let the children come unto Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Very sweet.
And the chicken coop looks great! You boys did an excellent job. Thanks for sharing.
I ❤ your videos! I never had a close loving family so I enjoy watching you and your family.

Great video! 😊 We'll start sending your channel to our clients who recently bought land from us especially those who wants to start homesteading. They'll surely get awesome ideas from you.
Thanks!
Joas - I lve all the things that you do. You make me tired as you get so much accomplished. I am so jealous - you and Priscilla know how to do everything. We used to go the Amish Community in North Eastern Illinois - Arthur and the Amish so so sweet and kind there!

Great job, nice to see father teaching children how to do projects! God Bless
Your niece's children are beautiful, a true gift from God. That coop is pretty darn snappy looking. My Mom's Dad taught her carpentry and building when she was young. I wished I'd had an opportunity to learn some of those skills.
Beautiful job ,the chicken are going to love it.
Have recently found your channel and enjoy watching you and your families life in Montana. We are Christians from West Australia, and grain farmers who wish President Biden would drop the jab mandate so we could tour America for some months. With the speed things are deteriorating who knows how long that would even be possible.
Really looking forward to watching your big move to Alaska, we are excited to see how God directs your paths on this journey.
Blessings to you all.
Welcome to our family! We love Australia and Priscilla and I have traveled there once.
Yes, we also wish all this craziness would stop. About the jab as well.blessings!
Love the togetherness just love your family God richest blessings upon you all
Thank you for blessing us with your beautiful videos and sharing your family.
Great video. Loved seeing the Amish children so adorable. Chicken coop is awesome.
That was a fun video. I really enjoyed seeing the first segment of your niece's and nephew's. That is a pretty nice chicken coop. As a side note my great grandmother worked as an attache' in the Montana State Legislature in the 1930's. Thank you for sharing!
THANK YOU for sharing your family visit! The scenery is beautiful and a sweet family! Love seeing the log homes being built from the ground up. The boys are so talented and hard workers. Just like their Dad : ) Enjoyed it!
Those kids were cute ! 🥰 I can understand why those sheds are so expensive! All those detail almost same as a big shop but miniature! That’s too pretty for chickens 😉😂
I so enjoyed this video.........Montana is a beautiful state. I love watching and learning from you. If I see something done a couple times I can usually do it with a little reference. Thanks for the lesson and keep on with the boys, I think it's wonderful they are learning the family trade and business..........Love it!
God bless you all!

Great video! Thankyou! I would love to have chickens someday. If I ever do I'll know where to get my building ideas from 😊
What a lovely video. The little Amish children were so very delightful. And the chicken coop that would make a fabulous garden shed. May very well use some of the design for a garden/potting shed. Thank you Joas, Ethan and Justin for showing us all you building skills. Will be sad to say goodbye to Montana when you go to Alaska but new exciting adventures await.
You always have the best videos--it makes my day ! Wish I could have had a life like yours with my Boys.
You are amazing. You make it look so easy. So nice
Great work! Enjoyed watching.
Wow that's a beautiful area your kin folks are at. And yes that capital building is huge
Cute chicken coop. We are wanting some more chickens, but need to build a coop. The coyotes eventually got all ours. 😕 Nice the boys helped out building it, it's great you taught them so many important life skills to benefit them their whole life.
Wow! how nice, I really enjoyed your video.
Great job guys 👍😊
Very nice job! You had some good help!
I love these log homes
Well done guys it look great.
Beautiful children
Making fun memories. :)
We sure miss you all! We hope to make a visit to see y'all soon!
That's one nice chicken coop! Will hold more than double a dozen hens.
What a wonderful thing to see you get to work beside your two oldest sons. I think I’ll start referring to you three as the “Mighty Three!” 😄
😀
Very nice !
Blessings from Medina Ohio ❣
Great job on the coop! Loved seeing the Montana plains. I live in Tucson Arizona. I have chickens in my backyard. Build my own coop too. Much smaller than yours. I have one Easter Egger hen that is seven years old still laying an egg every other day!
Wow!
Thank you for sharing this! Always enjoy anything you guys share.Hugs from Missouri 🤗❤ Loved the chicken coop! Was it not for you all? Whoever it is for will be very happy!
Yes, we built it for a friend.
Love your channel! ❤️
Thanks for sharing
I love the Amish country
Beautiful country. Hi from Holmes County Ohio!
Welcome Geoff!!
Great chicken home🐓🐥
Joas, you and your family are such caring, generous people🙏🏼
Thanks Hilda!
@@MontanaHaven Joas, why was Bessie so poor and thin🥱
@@hildamclawhorm6305 Likely from just having a calf recently.
I would love to have a log home some day.
Thank you 😊🌺💖
Yup that chicken coop passed inspection and I think you'll have some happy hens and probably a happier rooster 🐓
The chicken coop was amazing ! Your sons are turning into fine craftsmen . I'm hoping one day you can explain a few more differences between the modern & traditional Amish. I noticed the children seemed quite fluent with their German dialect. I did not notice adults being filmed other than the one gentleman working on the window. You just have such an interesting background. Thank You as always for sharing with us.
Thank you. Out of respect I didn’t film the adults.
@@MontanaHaven Thank You , Mr. Miller. I look forward to all your videos.
❤️❤️❤️
The State Capitol building sure is bigger than Lansing. Enjoyed the kids.
Greetings from Uruguay
Welcome!!
🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Your state capital building is huge.
the seat of all coruption every county has one payed for with you taxes lol
You're videos are always a beautiful welcoming! I unfortunately forgot why the more *traditional Amish community* speak German (sorry)
That is the mother tongue. When we came to America we just continued speaking it.
Will wild animals be able to lift the roof on the hen boxes or will the beach latched down? Love the hen house!
It’s pretty heavy and I don’t think there are any wild animals around here that would do that. 😀👍🏼
Chickens will be happy and the foxes will be mad
😁❤
After watching more than a few episodes. My opinion is that maybe what you do best is let children be children.
I am so surprised to see that you were able to video this beautiful family. I always believed they do not allow their pictures to be taken. Is this no longer the case?
Will you be leaving your animals when you move to Alaska?
It depends on the family. And we will be leaving most of our animals behind.
