I currently have a Rift S. At this time, I intend to purchase a Quest 3 and will be using it a lot with PC Link. When it's available, I'd like to see you do a review of the PC Link capability and how it compares to the Quest 2 and Rift headsets.
I used to have a rift s, switched to quest 2 and the link cable capabilities were servicable. just got my quest 3 and after only 3 hours of play, I can confirm that the link capabilities feel much better, vision is clearer than quest 2 linked and standalone. weight feels good tho I will still replace the basic headstrap as soon as kiwi releases one. I'd recommend it, especially when upgrading from the rift s
How much was your pc?
I've had two Rift CV1's, Quest 2, and now Quest 3. Using the Quest 2 and 3 with Oculus Link via USB cable or wireless Air Link both work flawlessly. The experience feels just like a native wired headset. For Air Link, it's best if you connect your PC directly to your router via ethernet cable and play in the same room as your router, or as close as possible.
I've been using it for a few days now and it works pretty well. I discovered that the USB-C port on my computer, which is located on the top front near the power button, doesn't work. I suspect it's not even connected to the motherboard (I ordered the computer from a system integrator so I didn't build it). I ordered an adapter that allows me to plug it into a USB-A port and which supports both charging and data (not all such adapters do, many only support charging). I went ahead and purchased the official PC Link cable because there were reports that not all compatible cables support charging. While waiting for the adapter, I used Air Link and it worked pretty well, but would occasionally stutter. The PC is connected directly to the router via Ethernet and I'm standing about five feet from it, so signal is good.
Once the adapter arrived, it took some fiddling to get it to work but I have it working now for the most part. It's not perfect, as sometimes I have to disconnect the headset, restart it, then reconnect it for the link to work. I don't know if the issue is with the adapter or an issue with PC Link itself. Once it's linked, though, it works well, with no stuttering at all.
Even with these hiccups, it so much of an upgrade over the Rift S when it comes to the display and audio that it's still well worth it. And I've only barely explored the standalone aspect of it.

Is GTA San Andreas VR re-verified specifically for the Quest 3? Because I haven't seen any tangible news about it since it's original trailer a few years ago.. Where did you hear it was coming for the Quest 3?

Apparently Nintendo has been working on a standalone head set for a few years now. So definitely won’t happen. But Zelda, Metroid, the list goes on of Nintendo games that would be awesome in VR.

It will never be powerful as ps5 its mobile chip and most of this games will come to psvr2 . the only things better about quest 3 than psvr2 , its have pancake lens and can be connected to pc

Best games? Some of these rent event out and we have no idea if GTA is still in development.
Why do so many of these games look like they were from ps2/3 era? It's like games have got a straight downgrade from where they were 5 years ago on the oculus. I wanna see better looking stuff, not something that looks right out of a mobile game on my phone. Surely there's been technological improvements, I mean look at Red Matter 2 for example. Seems like laziness on the developers part.

I can't look forward to any of the games. I lost heart in vr games for many months now I just don't know why. Dont seem to enjoy them anymore. I was very keen when oculus quest 1 launched and then the quest 2 but now simply can't seem to get back in to it
Yeah, I lost interest too when I saw how companies are using the headsets just for profit with expensive games and simply ditching the old version for the new one without any consideration with people that are still in the older headsets.
You are sadly not the only one. Lots fall victim to the inconsistent launch of good VR titles. I really hope better days will come because content is king!

Gta is great but i think its on the ice… rockstar are sh*ting on their remaster - no patch - horrible launch and optimization for the switch etc … i think gpu is similar good chance gta is on the ice until fixed

Finally, most of the games that have been released lately have been boring and sucked, most of what has come out this year for games have been garbage so far with the exception of a few, I wish Meta would stop giving us these dumb boring games and start releasing some real quality games that are more fun, we need GTA San Andreas and Assassins Creed to come out and update the pcvr software for airlink and PC link, it's still the old Oculus software, Meta should have updated that with a better home environment setting by now, the pcvr software is seriously lacking and is outdated with the Oculus logo and plain white background for the home environment setting, why has Meta neglected the pcvr software for so long?, consumers that buy the latest Meta Quest headsets deserve better than this

@@nathie in all fairness it is titled "that you can play" I was looking for videos that could help me find some fun new games to purchase for the new headset as I try VR some more.
