I’m 5’1” and weighing 44 kg but successfully set up on my own a Samsung 55” TV weighing 17kg with a TV stand with no damage on the TV. Thanks so much for your video! I followed it and it was really helpful! For the part that you missed out, I lift the TV from the floor to the TV stand by placing my right palm at the center of the bottom of the TV and placing my left hand at the top but with the styro still at the top of the TV. I ensure my fingers didn’t touch the screen. It was difficult, scary and risky but I managed to do it after some tries, maybe due also to my weight lifting in the gym.
I’m always so nervous about moving anything bigger than 55” by myself. It’s because I got a 65” Sony for Christmas in 2020 and it was cracked. It makes me think these things are so fragile. I still have to move it twice a year when we rearrange for the Christmas tree. I hate to ask my wife for help, but I just think these things are so fragile. I had to turn the volume down because that styrofoam sound was like nails on a chalkboard to me.
I know it's not recommended, but I would like to lift my 65 inch off it's stand, lay it flat on my couch and adjust the height of the its legs. Did you lift this one back up by yourself?
Turned out I didn't need to move the TV to the couch. The legs unhook easily so I just lifted one side of the TV at a time to take a leg off and change the height, put it back and then do the other leg. Made sure I didn't have any zippers on that would scratch the screen.
I was waiting for part 2 to see how you were gonna lift that sucker up on the table by yourself lol. I've got a 50" coming that I'll have to unbox on my own and Im so nervous I'll crack it
Tom Leeman I was also wanting to see you lift the TV buy yourself. You seemed to be implying that’s what you were going to do at the beginning of the video. My question is , did you lift the TV by yourself successfully and put it on the stand ?
I lifted my 55" Samsung TV from the bottom, with the screen facing me. That's pretty much the only way to do it safely unless you got a crazy wingspan. Make sure you have good lower back health before doing this, because you will have to lean back a little bit, unless you want to kiss the screen.
Hhmm yah I’m just gonna call my dad. I got a 65 inch and at 5 feet tall, my arms don’t reach the sides. I need to lift it to put in on a piece of furniture, so this is not happening.
Read the directions on how to unbox. That's the first step. BTW you don't need a Hazmat suit for this project. This guy doesn't really need to watch any more TV. Has already scared to death😩
This was a back in about March and it’s not my house it’s my sisters and I had gotten sick in January so I’m still wearing a mask today when I go to anybody’s house or to stores
@@floridian4072 I'm glad nobody you know has been affected by COVID-19. Consider yourself blessed. This imaginary disease has taken the lives of friends and family of people that I know.

Good tip thanks!
You sound like my niece-- about the same size but "freakishly strong" ;-)
Thanks for saying this! I'm also 5'1" and 42kg and just bought a 55" LG. I'm impatient to get it out of the box so will give it a go on my own :D
This was really helpful, I managed to unbox and mount my 65” tv alone. Thank you
Excellent job glad to hear it thanks for watching
@@TomLeeman My TV is coming tomorrow, but I'm really nervous unboxing it.
Thanks for this! I was able to unbox and set up my Samsung 75 inch yesterday, all by myself!
Excellent job that’s even bigger than mine. Thanks for watching.
This is great, i’ll be trying this technique on my 65” Hisense on Monday.
Good luck don’t drop your TV thanks for watching

If you lay it down and make sure you lay it down on its back and not the screen

@@TomLeeman Come on man, we all want to see you lift it onto the stand alone, that is what we are waiting for, where is the part 2.
50” is easy
Good luck on your install u can do it!
You put the screen face down onto the box? Why not the back of it?
Yes, you could do it that way I guess thanks for watching. Enjoy your TV.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I’m 4’11” & I need a strong man to come set up my tv ;) 😭😭😢 How am I going to set this up on my own :(
